does this work on amg cars? I hardcode this feature and found that it is easy to code on c300s but all the amgs do not have a software option by default in the engine ecu thus whatever they are doing would void warranty. I would double check with them that it works on the amg variants.

I select S+ every time I start the car so I don't have this problem. It takes a second to make the selection and is part of the startup routine so it becomes almost automatic.

Yes, I don't get all the angst. It's no different than putting the stick in reverse or drive....takes a split second. Start up the car, select your drive mode, turn off start/stop...it's as simple as that.
