Headlight & Distronic plus questions
1: The C63S that I have comes with adaptive highbeam. A lot of the times the highbeam doesn't come on when I really need it. How do I force highbeam (without holding onto the lever)?
2: So I set distronic plus at 85miles/hr and I'm following a car in the front which travels at 78miles/hr. As soon as the car in front moves out of the lane, my car accelerates abruptly to 85miles/hr. If I turn off distronic plus now the car brakes and it's very uncomfortable. How do I refrain from having the car accelerate so abruptly?

2. In our C450 with Distronic, the drive settings influence how aggressively it accelerates. In comfort mode it will accelerate pretty quickly. In Sport+ it can be startling how rapid it accelerates. It' much quicker than any conventional cruise control that I've experienced. I haven't tested it yet, but I'll wager Eco mode is even more conservative than Comfort when accelerating with Distronic.

1: You have to turn the light switch from auto to 'main beam headlamps'. Now whenever you switch on the highbeam it will be continuous.
2: I haven't experienced such abrupt acceleration or uncomfortable braking, like Mr.J said try see what happens with the car in comfort mode and try increasing the distance setting to see what happens.

So I used distronic feature for the first time this week and noticed that even if there is no car ahead of me in my lane, the car tends to randomly brake intermittently due to cars in the other lane. Has anyone else experienced this?

yup it can be finicky when passing... i tend to wander a little to the far side of the lane away from other cars when passing them...
