Who to trust? Does it fit?

C63S sedan

I have been reading up on the forum a lot, seen people running 295/30/19 on stock wheels, seen 285/35/19 on stock wheels too, also a 305 at the rear. So sounds to me that 295/30/19 (my aim) fits no problem, but I want to have custom wheels made for it.

So I have been asking a few reputable wheels manufacturer, namely HRE, Brixton, etc. to see if they can make wheels for me to fit 295/30/19 at the rear, some say yes, some say it doesn't fit...who to trust? It is a big investment for me, so really want to be sure first.

Thanks.

Of course HRE is capable of making wheels that fit a 295 tire. Go with a 10.5 - 11 rear

You seem new to after market mods. Hop over to the w204 forums to brush up on your familiarity with custom builds. Even bimmerpost

HRE manufactures true custom forged wheels. Within a range, they can make any offset you need. Also check out Forgeline in Dayton, OH.

As someone who just purchased HRE wheels, I was told different things regarding Offset. When I called HRE directly, the rep on the phone told me an offset that didn't make sense to me. When I spoke to the local distributor and dealer, they ended up ordering the correct wheels for my car. Fitment is perfect. Make sure you work with someone you trust, which may or may not be the people who work at HRE.

To add insult to injury, HRE sent me the wrong bolts. While my local dealer told me HRE would send me the bolts, it would also take 5-7 business days to ship ground from California. Fortunately, the dealer sent me a set that would work overnight in the interim. Next day, I called, and HRE did NOT send the bolts because "they personally checked the order and there is NO WAY they sent me the wrong bolts. Mercedes must have changed the threat pitch for MY car.". Yep. Needless to say, I'm using the chrome bolts the local dealer sent me overnight while HRE figures out what to do. So much for customer service. They should have overnighted me the lugs NO CHARGE and NO HASSLE. I offered to ship back the ones that did not fit.

Anyway, HRE.. MEH. Happy with the distributor but HRE seems like a bunch of arrogant dorks, even if they have a nice product. Sucky after sales support. I would go with a reputable shop and work with them to figure it out.

That's pretty sad for a company that prides itself on customer service and touts that as part of the reason they charge their insane prices. If they're not going to take care of the customer, then what's the point of paying that premium over other forged wheel manufacturers?

My apologizes on behalf of whomever you were speaking with. We pride ourselves on customer support and customer care, which is why your comment comes at a shock. I haven't talked to any other HRE representatives here to find out who you were talking with, but I want to make sure things are made right so that you're satisfied and happy with your purchase.

Because I don't have any data on your order, could you send me a PM or email directly so that I can look into your order, see what may have happened and then make sure it's corrected?

I had the exact opposite experience with HRE. When I had some concerns, both the sales rep and sales director called me to to ensure that I had answers my questions.
