Hyacinth red C63s from ship to showroom
Well the car made it to the dealership just in time for Christmas. I tracked it across the Atlantic, and then to the dealer. Here's some pictures. I will start this winter with the cosmetic upgrades. Then in spring/summer, the power upgrades, after the break- in period.

From what I can see on the December 2016 brochure page 72 item 996, designo hyacinth red is listed as available as a special metallic paint option on the C63.

Check page 65 and 75, it's listed as not available, and isn't an option in the online configurator. Looks like they forgot to add the (1) on page 72.
You got me all excited that they'd added it back in then!

Damn, that looks nice.
...I think we can safely say that Hyacinth Red is one of the best colors to camouflage the coupe bumper extensions. Very nice!

Well this is the story..... I had a deposit on an Edition 1. But all were sold so they had to give my deposit back. So that's how I ended up with this. I was told that I cannot get it in Hyacinth red. But my local dealership said they would try, and because of the confusion with the Edition 1. I think Mercedes relented and agreed to build it, and off course for more money ha. I was also told that we Canadians could not have the extra Carbon fibre package but I got it. That option was soon added to the options list. They tell me this is the only C63s coupe in North America in this colour, Now I am really glad I got my deposit back. As I can fly under the radar with this car, not so much with an edition 1, and my previous cars.

color is absolutely stunning in the sun.
edition 1's are tacky, IMO. And it's not so much that the design is tacky as it takes away from the elegant body of the car in a negative way.

I have a white Edition 1 in Bedford.
Side stripes not installed of course. I have them tucked away for future requirement.
