this guy....... why would you delete your mufflers?

Just got my 21 c63s, only has about 1400 miles on it so far after a month. do I really have to wait for at least 4000 miles before I can hear a thing? I installed Renntech EVM but basically all it did was add more vibrations during idling. knocked out the honeycombs for my 2nd cats already. am I doing this right? really new to modding here. so far not much difference for what I've spent so far. are downpipes the only way? Im not ready to void my warranty yet. any other 21 owners can give me some tips?

Find a dealership that is Mod friendly, and you can add whatever you like =)

That has to sound like crap .. sorry . .but if you remove the mufflers and cats, its going to sound like a tin can... and be loud as an annoyance to most.

but thats IMO....

Honestly not really, there's plenty of these around pretty common on these cars.

If you want your AMG to sound like a honda, then go for it..

AMG has a THUMP and tone that is AMG... you take all that away, then you got what you got.. a LOUD car.

Being that I track my cars, and am part of groups of AMGs and we all track, race, rally etc etc.. I have heard, seen, etc almost everything you could possibly want/do to a AMG...
the worst one, is removing all the exhaust components.

Doing just DP's catless (not an issue, but you will get gas smell) removing mufflers etc, and DP's gets into just dumb territory , as its TOO loud , again IMO, and if your just trying an attempt at being cool.

There are MANY MANY members on this forum that went the FULL OPEN PIPE route, and they regretted it, a couple that I know, that RACE/TRACK the car 100%, they dont mind it as much, since its on the track ...
But your right... When the car starts to act up, and your turbo's break, among other things, send me a msg and let me know how the SOUND was worth it..

LOL First time I've ever heard that eliminating exhaust and or adding ect gives your car problems, looks like somebody who tracks and knows so much knows nothing. but is ok. is the Internet. Here comes another NEWBIE that apparently knows all tuners and more then everyone...
And if its the first time you heard about eliminating exhaust / cats/ dps not causing issues, is a joke, unless you CODE out the CEL;s and or add more "fixes" to the car for what you removed, then yes, you will have issues.

Then lets talk about Fuel, back pressure, etc etc, but wait.. you know everything, so 1000's of post on the topic must just be the INTERNET. hahaha

I read all my post while and after posting, as I am NOT one that likes to promote FALSE information or create confusion.

Hence, why I pre and post tensed it with IMO ... normally wouldnt have to do that, but since alot of people get offended and think you are attacking them personally , I like to make it known that I am just talking

Well welcome to the AMG side ... I was just at Barber MSP and they had all the NEW Porsche's etc and I never got into them, some great tech and awesome driving machines, just wasnt my flavor. ( but some of them do look damn good )
