Settings loss
I've seen this posted once, but mine has gotten so bad it's now effecting air conditioning, and today even my DRLs didn't come on.... Mercedes in Germany wants to blame my mid city engineering module, but I had the issue before it was installed and I know others who have this problem do not have this module at all.
Mercedes also claims I'm the only complaint thus far. Please, if you have had this issue, please tell your dealer. My dealer has been awesome about this, but Germany needs to get on board.

I know that you said it did it before but, have you removed it yet to try to show that it isn't the unit?

Mine is bone stock and have had the same issues with I mode...as recently as my drive to work this morning. It has gotten so bad that it's now more common than not that my programmed settings won't be recalled.

I had something strange happened once before too. I'm driving a c63 nonS. One day, race mode just appeared out of nowhere but it just couldn't be selected. I even had the exhaust valve setting when I didn't have a performance exhaust.
Apart from that, there were few occasions where my air conditioner says "climate off" but it was actually on. Had to reset my car to resolve it.

Mine had similar issues after an update done by the dealer - footwell lighting flashes n sometimes switches off and the driver selection thing doesnt hold the last selection- as soon as engine restarted, it goes back to the default comfort.
dealer had lookd twice but no cure. They wantd to extract the files in the ecu and sent to germany for analysing. I didnt care too much and kept on driving as usual (as hard - launches, cornering etc
) then it jst fixed itself somehow, maybe 3mths ago? Cannot rememeber but its all good now.
guess the reset after the update confuses some sensors (some settings are new and some sensor are kept on the old setting). Jst drive it as normal - use ur race mode and I mode, jst 'abuse' it

Can you please share your VIN numbers so the dealers can check your complaint about this in service history????

you dont need vins i dont think sir. just print this out and take it to your dealer. that works for me when i have any issues and they try to say "im the only crazy person." good luck sir.
