Backing down driveway.....
During the run in period (which i have just completed), even in sport plus, if i rely on auto shifting (which most of the time i have been ), the ECU will shift depending on what run-in stage the engine is in (ignoring kick downs). For the first few hundred miles, the ECU was great (C, S and S+) at shifting up at under 3k revs provided i didnt kick down on the pedal (which i havent really done at all due to the vehicle having so much torque). When i went over around 850 miles, the ECU would take the revs up to 4k even in comfort driving in a similar manner and without me pushing the car particularly hard. The ECU is opening the revs up very nicely now that i'm just past 1k miles.
Post run-in, I expect it to be just like the GLA 45 i used to own and the C63 i tracked a couple of years ago, ie holding revs much higher in S+ compared to comfort. What i'm not sure about is whether the transmission will settle down into a nice smooth experience in comfort mode or not which is the main area i've got my focus on.
The lack of motion/inertia problem was completely absent the last three days that i'd driven and it was much warmer outside than the "beast from the east" temperatures. Clutch was engaging and the vehicle was moving off without any issues.
Dealer refuses to actually claim the problem is a result of the modification (Mid City Engineering ECO OFF module), but they also refuse to warranty it.
Stated the wet clutch has been damaged.
But they now also claim the warranty is essentially void on any computer system or device attached to the CAN-BUS because the module was attached.
Effectively, my electrical and drivetrain warranty is void because they'll just blame the module (which has been removed).
This is illegal because they have yet to actually PROVE it's the module.
We've sent them video of the codes being sent by the module which show that the module is ONLY sending a toggle up, which the owner clearly does him/herself without damage to the transmission.
Code P0949 has been stored in the TCU multiple times, as early as June of last year (could have been even earlier).
They will also not provide me the TIPS case # to reference, an official estimate for the repair or any document claiming the module has actually damage something.
The dealer is clearly trying to appear to help, but won't document anything so Mercedes cannot point fingers at them later.....
Thankfully, I have everything documented myself.
I've contacted Mercedes Corporate and AMG this afternoon.
I have over $10K in other options installed that I do not want to lose the value of (full car wrap, tint, sub/DSP installed, spoilers, blacked out emblems, Ceramic Coating, etc.).
Car has <10K miles and the problem was first reported at 1200 miles (actually started at 500 miles and just couldn't get an appointment).
As you can see from my original post in this thread that I had inquired on the forums about this as early as 2/2017, just 3 months into ownership and ~400-500 miles.

I don't think it'll get that far when I push them at corporate....
About 459 miles now and no issues regarding clutch engagement. Only issue I have is when I get to 1000 miles and a Sporty mode is where to go to see how the beast goes.
