I originally ordered a E43 back in september, but after a few delays I cancelled the order and ordered a 2018 C63S sedan instead. Production date is estimated from late may, hopefully I can pick it up in Sindelfingen around mid-june. I'm driving all the way back home to Norway, about 15 hours...
I know there's a facelift coming next year, but I just couldn't wait any longer, I've been planning to buy this car for over a year now.
I have some questions for you who already have some experience with the car.
1. I'm back and forth about the interior color, red pepper/black or black nappa with grey alcantara inserts. I have two kids, and I want an interior that is the easiest to keep clean etc. Does the grey alcantara stain easily, hard to keep clean? I kinda like that with red pepper you get leather inserts instead of alcantara in the doors. I'm planning to go with polar white and standard sports seats.
2. Carbon exterior packages, do you think it's worth the extra $? I've never seen it in person...
I am really looking forward to this beast of a car!

I really like the red, and it's not too bad to keep clean... or at least it wasn't on my BMW.. In my experience, if I had kids, I would not get alcantera.
I love my red pepper interior. Probably one of my favorite parts about the car. It's not too obnoxious but gives the interior a good look. It stays pretty clean and anything that gets on it wipes right off. Never had problems.
I have 3 kids and the black/gray interior. Stays clean just fine, but I am very particular about no food/mess in the car at all. I really like the color. The black/red was just a little much for me

Thanks! I'm very particular about food in my cars too, so might not be a problem in my case with small grey alcantara inserts... Hmmm...
I've never seen the black/red combo live, looks good in pictures - but a little afraid it might be too much..?
Love the look of polar white with black/carbon details and red pepper interior, but again, I've only seen pictures of it...

I have the red pepper interior on my black car and love it. My two little girls sit in the back and tend to put there feet on the back of the seats due to there feet won't touch the ground yet...my wife gives me a hard time for making them wear thongs all the time.
Did you mean 2017? Are dealers already taking orders on 2018's?

1. Sunroof is standard now (not the panorama).
2. Black wood option has a slight change where it doesn't cover the entire side on the drivers door. The rest is aluminum.
3. Package names and options were moved around too.

I actually have both....red pepper/black with the carbon package, the contrast looks amazing and I'm SO glad I don't have alcantara inserts (I have a dog). Just wipes clean.
Not sure if the "configurator" you're using is displaying the vehicle properly but it appears you don't have the night package selection, the exhaust tips are blacked out with the AMG night package....looks freakin awesome. Get it!

It was labeled smartphone integration and had in parenthesis (Apple Carplay/Android Auto). I can't remember if this was standard feature or under a package. What me and the salesmen were looking at was a PDF of the 2018 ordering guide under the "new features" section, which included the information I listed above.
I just spoke to my dealer. Here are the biggest changes noticed.
1. Packages are being changed in a major way.
2. Lighting package appears to be a stand alone option. Price TBD
3. Multimedia Package is a separate option. Price TBD.
4. Apple CarPlay is a stand alone option seperate from the multimedia package. Price TBD. Apple CarPlay back ordered or not available until September 2017 build dates.
5. Sunroof is now standard on all vehicles. Cannot delete Sunroof. Panorama roof is still an optional upgrade.

No. I asked the same thing and that is a definite no.
So when do you guys suspect a new body would come out? Would the 2018 be the last year of this body? I'm looking forward to leasing one with an option to buy at the end and would love to try to get the best deal possible. I heard if it's the last year before new body comes out you can get better deals. Is this true? Thanks guys!
