How much did you pay C43 or C63

I've seen similar threads about deals people got on other cars, but not any AMG threads.

I have a 2012 C350 and have the itch for a new ride. The C43 sedan seems to fit pretty well with the max I would want to spend (mid to high 50's), but being fairly close in price to a C63 I'm interested in what deals people have received to know if I could stretch the budget.

So - post up your vehicle specifics, MSRP and price you paid. It will help fellow future AMG buyers.

I'm also curious if you think it's better to buy or lease the C63. Based upon research it sounds like the depreciation is fairly deep with this model, compared to an M3 or comparable vehicle.

Assuming I am not breaking forum rules perhaps this is sticky worthy.

I just signed up to this forum today to find out about the same info. Would be interesting to know what kind of discounts are people getting with lease/finance.
The dealer nearby gave me a quote for $62.5k for the following build (not a custom build and not the one that I prefer) and he says it is currently on water and is expected at the dealership late Oct or early Nov

C43C4 $55,500
149 Polar White
641 Black MB-Tex/DINAMICA w/ Red Stitching
P02 P02 Premium 2 Package: COMAND Navigation and Voice Control,$2,650
R01 Summer High Performance Tires
U78 AMG Performance Exhaust System $1,250
00A Illuminated Star $550
068 Wheel Locking Bolts $150
234 Blind Spot Assist
281 AMG Performance Steering Wheel w/ DINAMICA Inserts $500
5P6 Control code - scheduling & production intro vehicles
521 Night Package: Front Wing, Rear Diffuser Insert, Exhaust Tailpip $200
604 19" AMG Split 5-Spoke Wheels w/ Black Accents $850
739 Gloss Black & Aluminum Trim
SUBTOTAL $61,650
DESTINATION & DELIVERY $925
TOTAL $62,575

That is the MSRP. Did you negotiate it down?

I received that quote from my SA over email. I am planning to visit the dealership and place a custom order this week. I thought it would be better to know what kind of deals people are already getting before I make my move.

I have seen some members reporting 10 - 12% off on 2017 C43. Are people really getting a 10% discount on C43?

Very very few, and the ones that are, generally have odd circumstances around it. (dealer making things right after previous screw ups) I'd say aiming for 10% would be a little high

This is my first attempt at buying a NEW car, that too a pre-order. So, I have no clue how these deals work.
is 3 - 5% discount considered a reasonable - good deal range?
For new cars, are discounts more obvious on leasing or financing?

A Benz and a BMW
Here in Canada the mark-up of the vehicle is about 8%. Getting anything more than 3 or 4% off MSRP is a very very good deal given the demand for the vehicle is anticipated to be high. Some dealers refuse to give more than 2% off MSRP on brand new models - I've even seen some dealers sell at full MSRP.

That being said, this could be part of a larger problem. Toronto and Vancouver in particular have an incredible foreign income...challenge. Foreign nationals are willing to pay full price for vehicles / real estate and sellers are a lot less inclined to reduce prices for that reason.

The dealer does not have even close to that kind of profit in that car including holdback and fleet. I think Private lounge has $500, so tell us how you buy that much under dealer cost, unless he owes you or you have something on him????

2015 C63S purchased at the end of January 2016. They already had 2016s on the lot for a while.

And yes, the general manager hooked me up.

I'm in the US, in upstate NY, with no special status with either mb or the dealer and no special circumstances. And only 1 dealer within 100 miles of me. My c43 sedan order was placed with an agreement for 5% off msrp, plus any applicable incentives at the time of delivery. Which hopefully will be next month. Invoice is 7% under, and its a brand new model designation, so mb probably isn't offering any help to dealers in the first month on the market. Seemed like a fair deal.

Just curious: did you confirm you can use the AMEX certificate with this car? How long did it take from spending the $5k to receiving the certificate?

The AMEX certificate was valid, I didn't have any issues applying it (they discounted it on the spot). I got the certificate through my AMEX Platinum card by purchasing it with points - didn't have to spend $5k, it was 100,000 points to purchase outright.

I was told by AMEX it would take 6-8 weeks to receive it once you met $5k spending threshold. There's no way to expedite it as it's mailed by the system from MBFS. I opened this card about 1 month ago, I didn't bother to spend all 5k and I wasn't sure if I would be able to get it on time. Also, the cert is not applicable when you have fleet discounts.

Spending 100k MR points to buy a $1000 certificate was not worth. MR points worth more than that.

Looking at a custom order E63. Is 4% off MSRP good in (ideally northern) California?

Hoping to order Nov or Dec.
