717whp - Dime Stage 3 (Turbine and Impeller Upgrade + Cooling). Tq reading wasn't working in that dyno shop (I heard the cable was messing or whatever). Car was detuned to 645whp because tranny started slipping.

We'll have a built tranny going in before April 21st then it's off to the strip.

So even after I told Guilty no more mods for a bit since I just bought the most expensive mod of all (a garage), I had to check out this beast for myself and man... that was a mistake The want is real.

Unfortunately (or fortunately, however you wanna look at it), I test drove the detuned version @ 640ish whp and it's damn quick. Like scary quick. I don't think I put down more than 1/2 throttle during the drive. Maybe if he had something wider than 265s in the rear, I wouldn't fear for my life as much. Even with the R888s, the power comes on quick so I had to make sure the steering wheel was on the straight and narrow. It makes you think... who needs this kind of power on the road??

I do.

Then Guilty asks me, "do you want to race?" Oh yea sure... now you want to race

Steve and the Dime team are nuts. Guilty is nuts. Looks like I've already spent next year's tax refund. I want to join the insanity

Anyone need a kidney?

I really wish the torque reading was working because I would like to see out what torque level the transmission started slipping.

Trust me there, you're not the only one. I was pretty bummed not to see any TQ numbers but the car is currently at the shop for other small issues I was having. I will update once I return from vacation in 2 weeks. I'm leaving the car with Dime for the duration of the trip. I hope everything will be ready by then.

@Bespoke88: I was trapping 159.8 and he was trapping 165 or 166 I believe

Any thoughts on upgrading the Diff? I know that has been an issue for some of the modded cars in the past

THESE are the kind of numbers I expected from this upgrade rather than the "pure" or weistec turbo mods.

Have to figure out this traction issue going forward.

Funny how you mention this. My electronic differential has actually blown up last month but for different reasons. My car is lowered and I was exiting a parking lot at an angle to avoid scraping, and I guess one of the rear wheels got stuck l in the air when I pressed the gas pedal. I heard a loud bang noise. LSD failed immediately.

I spoke to Steve about it and he said that he wasn't a big fan of the new electronic diffs. He was going to replace it with a Wavetrack mechanical LSD. However, Mercedes-Benz ended up covering the repair ($7k-$8k I believe) so that's on hold for now. I just have to be more careful exiting ramps. I actually raised the car height since then. If it fails again, a new differential is a must.

The car was burning out tires at 120mph on the dyno

I need to go wider in the rear but I really really like my OEM Wheels and my current stance. A lot of people put wider tires on the stock wheels but I don't like to sacrifice looks for performance. That's just me though.

The 717whp dyno run was on race gas. In matter fact, Dime has relocated my ECU under the hood and I'll have a spare ecu with a Race Gas map for an easy swap when needed. I was running 91oct at 644whp at No Fly Zone.

Steve said that there is no way to get more than 650whp on 91oct. He tried. He could hear the knocking when he tried to go over. People on 93oct should easily be able to extract 25-30whp more with the Dime setup.

No, I don't think so. Haven't spoken to him much. He was tuning the car as we were racing.

It's crazy that even mid-600 to the wheels is possible on pump gas. These engines are stout! Look forward to seeing more, enjoy!
