Winter wheels/tires for C63s
I currently have an M3 and am thinking of getting a C63s when my current lease expires. BMW has an OEM set of winter wheels and tires for the M3. From checking out this forum, I don't see that Mercedes has the same -- and in fact, I see a number of posts that Tire Rack has no wheel tire/packages for the C63s.
I wouldn't plan to drive the car in a snowstorm, but I do need to be able to drive it year-round in Washington, DC, which requires winter wheels.
How do people handle this?

Was wondering the same thing myself. You're right: Tire Rack lists NOTHING for the W205 C63. I've got a set of 18" Nokian Hakkapeliittas I'd like to put on some wheels for the winter. Thinking I may just try to find a used set of 18" AMG wheels on Craigslist or something.

You can't put 18" wheels on the c63s due to the brakes. I used my stock wheels and put a set of vredstien wintrax on them and had no issues for 2 NJ winters.

I opted for all season Michelin PS3 (I think thats the name)
They are 80% as good in dry vs PSS
They are better in rain and wet driving
They are 10x better in snow and slush
I made the decision to not go with a winter/summer set up and am happy with the decision. These tires, along with the larger size, have been a dramatic improvement over the Dunlop's

I want to get the all seasons myself. I hate the dunlops even in the dry, they are complete crap tires. Ride like flintstones too.

Looks like TSW makes a few wheels that are available in a 19x9.5 ET53. This is pretty close to the stock ET56 in the rear. They also have some 19x8.5 ET32, which I *think* will fit the front. I'm looking at the Interlagos.

In Ontario, Canada, MB sold a winter rim/tire package in fall 2016. It was pricey (~$7,000) but I think well worth it. Rims look great. Tires are Sottozero 245/35 R19 93V. I drove through some snow and lots of ice. The car drove like it was all wheel drive. The front end never lost control and I could push the gas all I wanted to and never lost the back end. Did not need any weight in the trunk. And, it never felt like I was driving winter tires. Coincidently, I had the same tires on my 325 ci 7 years ago and they also outperformed back then too. And, yes, 18 inch rims wont fit over the brakes.

I had new Pirelli ice zero tires on my 435 and they were amazing. My wife ended up getting it on her SUV also.
For the C63, I plan to get a new set of Pirelli Ice Zeros to go on my stock wheels.

Just got these on Ebay cheap:
TSW Interlagos 19x8" ET45 F and 19x9.5" ET53 R. I'll run some 15mm spacers in the front to push them out to ~30 ET, which should "poke" about 1.5mm vs stock. They were dirt cheap, so I jumped on them.

Does anyone have any further advice on this? The dealer has no idea, and Tire Rack doesn't have any wheels that are guaranteed to fit this car either. How do people handle this? I suppose I could put winter tires on the stock rims, but am concerned about damage to the rims from regular changeover.

Those TSW Interlagos wheels I posted will work. You can get them at Discount Tire Direct. You will need spacers for the fronts, which isn't ideal, but they'll work. I think a set is about $1100.

What about putting winter tires on the OEM rims and swapping them back and forth with the summers? Does that risk damaging the wheels?

Thanks. I'm really hoping to get something without spacers, and ideally an MB OEM set of wheels so that the MB dealer will actually be willing to install them. But that doesn't seem to be an option...

FYI: if you change your mind about aftermarket, here's a guy in the C43 forums running the TSW setup on his car right now.

A number of people are doing that. It's definitely possible; any competent tire shop can swap tires (or the MB dealer). My $0.02 is every time they swap tires, it increases the risk scratches.

Personally, I wouldn't attempt going anywhere in ANY snow on all seasons with this car. My W204 C63 was barely manageable WITH snows. Suspect the W205 will be about the same.

Wouldn't 19 x 8.5" ET32 be a better fit for the front? Same width as the OEM front wheel and offset is within 6 mm.

How about these wheels?
Niche Road Wheels:
Front: 19 x 8.5 - ET34 (Part # M117198543+34)
Rear: 19 x 9.5 - ET50 (Part # M117199543+50)
Both are the same width as the stock wheel. Front offset is 4mm off and rear offset is 6mm off (both numbers are lower, so the wheel should stick out just a bit more, which is better than them not sticking out enough). Center bore for the wheel is the same as stock, so no centering ring required. Lug seat is conical, which is the same as the OEM lugs. I think the wheel looks pretty cool and the fitament looks solid.

The cast Niche Misano do NOT fit.
The drop seat touches the caliper.
