In market for a C63S Coupe
First post here. I currently drive a '13 BMW 535i that I've heavily tuned but decided I want something else.
In the market for a C63S and had some questions.
Which packages do you think are a must have? For me visually is the carbon fiber inside/outside and night trim.
What discounts are there on this model right now? I would pick up now or summer time. Summer time I feel might be better with possibly some used models coming around?
As far as options, I really like premium 3, you may not want the "nannies" but if you daily drive the car in traffic, distronic plus along is worth the price. The sports seats are quite the looker, but for me personally were not comfortable enough. Performance exhaust is mandatory and depending where you are may not even be an option. Carbon fiber interior will be glossy unless you get an edition 1 coupe where it's matte. Night package is easy to replicate with some gloss black wrap if you can't find one with it on.
I play not drive about 12,000 miles a year on the car, will daily drive. 30 mile driving 5 days a week for work.
Usually amgs do not lease well. They depreciate pretty hard and the lease terms are never great so lease vs. purchase is really up to you. BMWs lease much better so you may be in for a surprise when you see the payment vs. the MSRP of the car. You may be able to get a good residual / money factor / no money down on a least but not likely. When I was shopping around the lease payment on a M6 was the same as my finance payment on my C63s (about 30k cheaper msrp) with the same money down.
We don't know how much gently used coupes are going for as there aren't that many traded in yet. You'll definitely save some money but that may or may not be worth the wait.
Another thing is apparently the next model year is coming in September? Maybe prices will drop more then on the older models?

Whoever bought that either doesn't care about his money (maybe chump change to him) or got conned into the "Edition 1 is collectible!" statement that many dealers push.
An Edition 1 is just a fancy name for a visual alteration package, and just like nearly all visual options, they offer the lowest resale value. The only part of Edition 1 that cannot be added on from the Parts department is the yellow stitching.
