I got it de-badged all around except for the black hood badge and 3 pointed star on the rear view camera. The shop is not able to get materials behind the mirrors so they had to take of the door panels to get at the mirrors.
Next two weeks I have wheels, tires, and KW HAS coming.
Unlike ECU tuning or exhaust mods, all the panels and mouldings clip back on and the autoflex is completely reversible.
Here are some pictures I took today as they were masking it off.
Base coat goes on tomorrow morning, colour coat goes on in the afternoon and the clear coat on Tuesday. The product hardens like a wrap and lasts for 5 years before it degrades and I can peel it off at any time.

I thought I would like brilliant blue but was disappointed when I saw it in person. It looked good in certain light and seemed washed out and dull in day light. This is more indigo with deep blue and purple hughes.
Yes it's more $$ but so is a wrap or PPF
Unlike a wrap though, I can wash, polish, and wax this. It also doesn't leave any knife marks or scratches. From a cost perspective it's more affordable than a wrap and behaves just like paint.
I have a friend who got Brilliant Blue but hasn't taken delivery yet. I'll do a comparison photo when he picks it up.

Also, *DO NOT LET EVEN A DROP OF GAS* drip onto it. Otherwise it will *instantaneously* eat away at the plasti dip. And it's not really repairable...

The only plastidip used is the PDS base, they used 10 coats of the base before spraying the real stuff.

Anyways, looking good and I'm curious to how it stands against the elements and wear!

Painting is the easy part though, if they had all the materials it would have taken them no more than 2 days. Taking off the panels and masking everything off is the hard part.
I think the price is so low because it's a fairly new process and a lot of people aren't convinced it holds up. I'm sure the cost will go up to match other PPF products eventually.
I plan to drive this in the winter and rain so will see how it holds up. They say it will hold up just like paint, stone chips, swirls, scratches, etc and lasts up to 5 years with proper care and maintenance. I'll be happy if it lasts two years
