Engine Shrieking - Like Belts Slipping???
Anyone else have a VERY loud shriek from the engine, either on cold start or on revving the engine??? It sounds like belts slipping, but I have only 3300 miles on the coupe.

That doesn't sound normal at all. Can you post a video of it making that sound? If it is that pronounced when freely revving it, something is definitely wrong.

Coolant on the drive belts can cause squealing from the belts as well. Not that you should have any coolant on the belts...

I think it might be the H Valvue.
mine does the same delayed shriek just after start up.
parked in comfort mode with valves open and windows down no radio, billing the throttle to go just over 1.5k I can hear the quieter version of it as the rpm returns to idle.
i can get it to repeat it everytime.
I close the Valves and it doesn't do it.
I have an appt next Thursday to have all of the exhaust valves looked at.

Exactly what I was thinking - exhaust.
I can hear it so loud when in performance mode that everyone in the dealer was staring while we were revving....
Watch, they won't find anything.

Egon - any chance it is the electronic parking brake engaging? I hear it when I open the door after putting the car in park and shutting it off. The end of the noise (which sounds to me like a brief, low frequency shriek) corresponds with the illumination of the parking brake indicator light on the dash, so my assumption is that...

2015 C63S AMG
I'm having this same exact issue on my 2015 C63s ED1 with 30k miles. It just started happening but everytime I take it to the dealer it doesnt happen. I'm going to leave it over the weekend with them. It only happens from a cold start. And it has lately been happening when the auto start stop is engaged as well.
