KW V3's Installed - C63 S Coupe

Greetings!

I know most might be running the HAS for the C/W C63 S vehicles. This weekend I installed the full KW V3's on my car. I have to say that I am very impressed with the improvement of the quality of the ride. The car not only is smoother over the road but looks so much cleaner lowered. I am tossing the idea around of spacers but not sure yet. I do have a 295 tire mounted on rear. Feel free to ask questions. I attached pictures.

Looks good, do you have an error code since you don't have the factor dampener setup?

Interesting...does the full KW kit still have the option of all the different modes ie. comfort, sport, sport plus etc. and if so how does it compare to the OEM suspension system ?

The EDC lights no longer work with the V3's. You have an adjustment 1-5 on each of the coilovers for stiffness. I set everything at 3 and it's rides extremely smooth compared to stock.

Thanks for the answer.

Just to expand on that though, does it mean if you want to stiffen or soften the ride you need to lift the car and adjust the the dampers separately at each corner ?

Correct. Same thing with the ride height.

your car looks great with the kw coilovers. did you have to install any additional suspension parts to adjust for the negative camber on the front and rear?

My pleasure! MB's do not have strong enough shocks in the long run to support a HAS system. They will eventually blow out. Spend the money and do it the right way.

Congrats! Looks great. We are getting great feedback from the V3s from customers who complain about the OEM suspension being too harsh.

First let me compare the stock suspensions. The stock sedan suspension is much stiffer then the coupe even with the 19"/20" wheel setup. I originally has Dunlop's on my Sedan which I eventually changed to Michelin's. This did help but very little. I believe part of the better ride has to do with the different setup of the coupe.

Being in the NYC/NJ area anything will ride harsh. My coupe is my daily driver so yes I would say to that. The KW's V3's aren't cheap but you get what you pay for.

I heard there is something in the works from KW that keeps the dampers functioning - is this true?

Just thinking what to do now that JP advised HAS isn't a good long term option

Even if that is the case; it's ways away. I don't believe KW even offers that now for any vehicle.

KW have them for a few vehicles. They are called KW DCC. Here are some for a Golf R. https://modeautoconcepts.com/product...nt=17472183750

A set of these designed for the C63 would be the ultimate!

This is exactly what I'm taking about, I'm sure it's in the works from what I've heard.

I'm going to reach out to KW and see if I get any straight answers

I stand corrected. When KW does release it; the price will be extremely high for this option.

I thought so, I believe I remember seeing a BMW M135i almost 10 years ago on the 1 addicts forum with this set up so they do exist, you just need to do a "neat" install of the operating button.

This would great if made for current AMG's as you then have the freedom to adjust from within the cabin just like stock OEM.
