Window Tint on C63s coupe
Do any of you have window tint on the front side windows of the sedan or the coupe?
In PA I know the limit is min 70%VLT. Did any one go "over" the limit and got into trouble with police? Does the police care about this generally?
I want a tint that's dark enough so people can't see inside on a normal clear day. What's the percentage of VLT for that kind of tint?
If you all got any pictures to share that would be great!!!
Thanks

I also have 15% all around (except front windshield; 50%), but I'm in FL too.
Careful with PA; IIRC, they don't hand out tickets for window tint; they often slash your tint on the spot and give you a "fix-it" ticket that requires you provide the Court proof the tint has been removed. Which is retarded. Most states just ticket you and let you be on your way. Kind of an unofficial window tint tax, if you will haha.

In MD, it is the same but that is on a 100% clear window. Most car manufacturers have between 3-6% already on the glass and could fail if tested, which happened to me on a car that had 35% on the fronts. Also, I believe you can go as dark as you want on the rear windows.

usually here in CA where it is illegal to tint anything in the front, as long as you drive responsibly, and your car looks decent they won't hassle you unless you were pulled for another violation. With that said I have been pulled maybe once every 5 years because of tint only, it really depends on the cop, time of day and what their MO for that period of time is.
Ultimately it is just a fix it ticket which for the purpose of having tint to have more privacy, preserve the interior and just make the car look much better, I think it is worth the minor hassle.

No no...they don't break the window. They take a razor and gash the window tint on the spot (I've read several reports of this happening to people), and then provide you a limited window (no pun intended) of opportunity to show up and show that it's been removed. So basically they mess up your tint for you to prevent you from keeping it, and want proof it's been removed.
