Door handle removal

Hi,

Anyone removed the door handles using the method in this youtube video? I am looking for feedback on how easy it is?

The reason I am asking, my car is black and I wrapped the chrome trims with 3M vinyl. Because of the shape of the door handle and my poor wrapping skill, the vinyl is coming off on the inside, I can feel it when I grab the handle. I want to remove the handles to wrap them properly.

Yes I have done this a couple times. I was a little intimidated to start with, but it is as the video shows very easy.

Yours have the keyless entry as well? I am surprised the door handle has not wire connecting to it.

Yes I have the keyless, the door handle has a plug connection at the front, that plugs into the door.

I have not tried the method above as I didn't know it was that simple when I wrapped mine last year.
This video changed everything as far as wrapping. I tried 10 times to get the inside to come out right with no luck. After watching this video I got it done perfectly. Along with some knifeles tape looks professional

Itching to try vinyl myself, done a lot of plasti dip before, never like that you can get a uniform first at times with it. Plan to try this for my door handles as well.
