looks good. had the "limo" tint on my WRX back in 2002 and got so many damn tint tickets i lost count. in Jersey the cops came up guns drawn. i just got in the habit of lowering all windows and sticking my hands out when i got pulled over.
also was tough to see people when driving in NYC and turning even with all the street lights. in the Rural area i am in it was like driving blind haha. did help keeping the heat out in the summer though.
what are the laws like in CA for that?

its illegal here to tint your front windows (driver/passenger/windshield). Ive just been lucky so far...very lucky... Keep praying for me haha

5% looks good but I can't deal with that much darkness at night... too many idiots in Cali for me to not have the best vision. I find that 30% is the best of both worlds.

5% really is too dark for the safety of yourself and others on the road. I loved dark tint when I was in my teens and 20's, but now I have 50% on all my cars. You get great visibility and don't compromise on heat rejection.

Yes, it's all fun and cool until you get into a wreck and they found out there's tint where it shouldn't be. Especially with it that dark, you better be prepared to get shredded to pieces by the opposing attorney and eat it big time in the court.
Just go with ceramic tint to reject the heat.

I have 15 and thats my favorite, ive had 30 and wasnt dark enough and 5 would be way to dark because 15 is hard enough to see out of them at night.

I've got 15% ceramic on my car now and I agree. 5% no bueno and the others were too light for my taste. I have no issue seeing at night and I live out at the end of a desert road without even street lights but never a problem seeing the mirrors etc. I will say that the cornering lights are nice to have too.

Expect a new video comparison when I get the tint off and the 25% .
Is ceramic just the term? I know my windshield has a tint and is polarized. Would that be separate layers?

Ceramic tint is a different technology than the dyed films of old. It does a much better job in heat, UV and IR rejection than the previous stuff. It's also transparent to cellphones, gps units, radar detectors etc. it's slightly more expensive but well worth it. It also doesn't fade.
There are also clear ceramic tint films that can be used on windshields with great success and don't impair vision at all. I'm running 80% on the windshield and it's invisible but the car is way more comfortable with the black leather interior in the Vegas sun.
