Noob Questions

I just placed an order for a C63S sedan last weekend and have a couple of questions that I hope aren't stupid. I won't trouble you with my real dilemma that is killing me, which is color.

The car will be my clear weather DD. The entrance to my parking garage from the road has a fairly steep and short incline. Also my garage has a number of speed bumps (pain in the ***). Obviously, go slow and at angle. But I was wondering what your experience has been with front end clearance issues (if any). Things to look out for? I didn't pay close enough attention during my test drives.

Also wondering if anyone has tinted their pan roof and what they though about it?

Hello,

I did tint my panoramic roof, here in south Florida is a must.

The car is low, so be alert to avoid damage.

the speed bumps shouldn't be a problem. I have a steep incline on my entrance too but I've been able to clear every time - this is on stock suspension.


The BMW M3 I used to own was on Eibach springs and that definitely scraped every time I went down and up the entrance.


I would say that the height clearance on this car is pretty good but that's all based off the experience I had with my M3.

I don't know if anyone else has experienced this issue but when I take steep inclines at an angle with the suspension in sport plus the car feels like it lifts a back wheel and then makes a grinding noise if any pedal is applied.

Yeah I definitely feel one of the tires lift up. I haven't really heard the grinding noise but have definitely felt the wheel when it catches the pavement again - maybe that's what you're hearing?

I'm curious for those who decided not to wrap their new cars, what was the main reason (e.g., expected length of ownership)? Or even what the most significant reason was for wrapping?

Guess it depends on where you live and how long you plan to own it.

I just wrapped my front bumper. Cost around $600.

I wrapped my whole care but strictly for aesthetic purposes.

I PPF Xpel Stealth wrapped my whole car:

1. I plan on keeping it long-term.. like, 5+ years.
2. It's primarily parked outside our 2 car garage, for obvious reasons.
3. I liked the matte/satin finish of Xpel Stealth.
