Was an awesome event last year with the unveiling of the GT R on North American soil. I'm in the front row with my wife and brother-in-law in that pic! Going again this year.

PL gatherings are like, mini-Academy. The autocross event is with their cars (CLA45). Your car is parked in the owner's paddock, where other owners oogle them if something's special.

It is more of a community building event then it is a track day but AMG owners will have a chance to drive one of AMG's cars on an autocross track and owners and their guests can go for a hot lap around Laguna Seca as passengers with an AMG Driving Academy Instructor behind the wheel.
The even always brings together an impressive number of AMG's and a few surprises.

You can take pics, but no GoPros on the vehicles. I was able to record the lap that we took on Laguna Seca using my cellphone, but clearly with the Gs being pulled (went into a 4-wheel drift at the top of the corkscrew!) it was mostly crap video.
