Purchased C63s w HRE's and AWE Exhaust

I had a C6 Z06 with full bolt ons for a few years, and i have a long commute in ****ty miami traffic, so i was daily driving a Honda Accord every day. I was tired of the quality of the Accord, and not feeling excited for my day each day when I woke up, so I sold my Z06, and am getting rid of honda to buy the jack of all trades-my 2016 MB C63s!

Arrives Sunday. Cant wait!

Car has HRE FF01s and AWE Switchback as mods (don't know if tuned yet-but dealer didn't say?)
AMG Performance Seats
Pano Roof
Keyless Go
Parktronic
Heads up Display
etc
etc

I also made a move to get the "jack of all trades" C63S.

It's nice to be able to enjoy a great car all year round for all uses. Instead of having a sports car, but when you go out with friends, there's no room for them to ride with you or no room for running errands or going out with family.

yeah I have 2 little ones, and it always bummed me out that I couldn't take them for rides in the Z06. So this fits the bill perfectly

Nice pick up. Those are actually the HRE Flow Form wheels (FF01), not the forged P40S wheels.

Good to know! They looked identical to P40's so I assumed they were. After looking at FF01 looks like you are right!

Congrats Mike! Please come down to our showroom to take a look around. I would also love to see the car in person. We've got some extra goodies to make this a true rocket

Considering Selling car. It has almost 30,000 miles now. Open to reasonable offers.

16 Corvette (for now)
Nice looking ride. Good luck with the sell. I currently have a C7 Corvette and am considering picking up a C63s Coupe. Any words of wisdom on this move since you kinda did the same thing? Good idea, bad idea?

Really depends on what you’re situation is. What city you live in. How long is your daily commute? What is your pain threshold for maintenance dollars.

Sort of miss my Z06, but also love the C63s.

It wouldn't be a daily car, just a weekend fun car, single and no kids. I'm in eastern NC and maintenence cost isn't really a concern. I can kinda see both sides as the Corvette could be a more fun weekend car. Gonna think about it a bit more, was considering a C7 Z06 but my 16 Z51 with the A8 transmission has been a nightmare with the trans issues. Manual would be only option there.

I did exactly that. I've only had the car for 6 weeks, but so far I'm loving it. It's hard to do a direct compare, but if you had the base C7 (not a Z06) I'd say you'll enjoy it. I love this motor over the C7. Power and acceleration seem a step up over the C7 (more in torque because of the turbos, I think). The tunability upside of this engine is a plus to me down the road if and when I want a little more. I had a manual C7, so can't really offer a compare with the transmission (though I really enjoy this quick-shift 9-speed in the 2019). This handles and corners nowhere near the C7 (heavy and higher cog), and the C63S clearly loves to swing it's back side around. The C7 even when pushing G limits would just recover and plant itself. It's handling is definitely what I'll miss the most. Interior styling and features of the C63S I think blow the C7 away. Just such a better quality look and feel to me (and I had the 3LT trim).

I really enjoyed my C7 and will miss it, but I really think long-term, the C63S coupe will rank higher on my all-time list.

So, having read the original thread which wasn't that long ago, gotta ask (if you don't mind) why you're parting with it and what's next?
