I had a thousand questions which were answered quickly, however, was never pushed into making the decision to buy. Sammy actually offered a number of different options that could have been more suited to my needs.

Shipping was through DHL and ETA to Australia was 6 days, they arrived in 5 days to my work. Sammy actually contacted me to advise that they had arrived. I thought this was fantastic customer service that he was watching the tracking of his product to his customer and I was on an RDO so I drove into work and picked them up.

On unboxing, the turbos were packed in a heavy cardboard box and padded with expandable foam bags and wrapped in thick plastic bags and tapped tight.

Quality of the Yabeela YB4 Turbos 💪🐌🐌💪 check them out yourself.

Those turbos look amazing holy crap. Awesome to hear that several cars are running these with success. And even better the great customer service.

Will you be sending the tool back to Yabeela or did you buy the tool? Interested to do this very soon.

Was going to send back but while it’s here tunes can be sent here for other cars.

Just talking to Sammy about that right now actually.

Lots of different tunes are available and just check if the tool can be used on other branded vehicles.

In relation to customer service, Sammy get 5 Stars...

Thanks AV1, I spent along time talking to Sammy at Yabeela and a couple of guys in the States have been happy to give me some info which I greatly appreciate.

I’ll be installing WMI, TCU Tune and ZAC carbon fibre intakes to start with.

Man, those are by far the prettiest turbos out there for this engine. I know these are custom cast by Yabeela, but are the center sections from Precision Turbo? Dual ball bearing?

Congrats brotha! Who’s doing the tuning? The zac carbon intakes will make a big difference in throttle response and sound, plus you get the infamous pahhhhh haha. The wm will help keep iats happy, especially once it gets hot out. 50/50 blend will work best (I tested several blends as well as 100% meth) plus it’s not flammable so there’s that lol

Is the ZAC Carbon Intake much different than what Weistec offers? I asked someone with the Weistec Carbon intake and they said it didnt change the sound. Im curious because I would like to do something for sound after my secondary cat delete but dont want downpipes or any aftermarket exhaust since imo the throaty stock tone is superior to aftermarket exhausts

The ZAC intakes will increase the induction sound as for exhausts I’m running catted downpipes and an AWE Track Edition exhaust and its loud & THROATY!

What is the inlet size of those air boxes? From what I see they are smaller than these proper sized turbos. Seems like you may have to do some cutting to get the inlet to become larger. That will definitely be a restriction.

Yes the zac intakes are not enclosed and are open element short ram intakes. You can hear the turbos spool as well as the factory bov since it eliminates the recirculating factory tube from the inlet pipe.

Thanks brotha. My car is done aesthetically at this point, but I still need to swap out the rotors then decide if I wanna upgrade turbos and make the Benz a racecar too haha. Shot me a pm and keep me posted as I might end up following your lead. Cheers!

The inlet side of the intake tubes are the same size as the factory compressor inlet and reuse the factory coupler to atttach to the turbos.

Nice !!!

As well as the thermal insulation benefits that should also guard against surface corrosion

yes that I get. But the new turbos are clearly much larger inlets. I bet those airboxes will be a restriction.

I have a set of ZAC Composite intakes being made as we speak.

Ceramic coating turned out nice brotha! So you pulled the trigger and Greg is making you a set of carbon intakes for those bad boys!? You’re going to have a solid setup, especially once you hit it with water/meth. Is he making a different size inlet on the turbo side or are they the same diameter as usual? Hard to tell in the pic but the new turbos do look like they have a 3” inlet.

Thanks mate,

Hope the compressor housings are finished soon, excited to see them put together...

I’ll have to measure the inlets on the compressor housing when I get them back but the couplers are slightly stepped to fit to factory boxes.

Probably going for a matte carbon finish on the ZAC intakes and ceramic heat coat the turbo shroud to murder out the engine bay.

Still tossing up between fitting the WMI injectors into the compressor housing or the pre intercooler pipes, any thoughts???
