Yep, it throws them right out front and rear, you will chew your tyres out.

Your shocks also wont work within the proper range and if you corner hard you will get suspension range errors logged.

After a year lowered, I would advise everyone to stay stock.

I corner hard so I am concerned if lowering the car adds value in terms of handling or is purely for cosmetic reasons

The suspension expert i normally uses claims he can get better results on c63s just with an alignment rather than lowering

appreciate all your comments

Just want to confirm the regular non-adjustable H&R springs work on the c63s as well as the c63 because tirerack only shows those springs fitting the non s models. Also any current input from members who have put some miles on your s with the non-adjustable springs would be appreaciated.

I'm very happy with my non adjustable. Drop is bigger in the rear than the front for some reason. You will need alignment to the left as mine was pulling a little to the right. Another issue I had was right rear was lower than the left rear. I had to go to mercedes and get the Shim rubber pad with a greater thickness in order to even out the heights in the rear. The front's were perfect. Due note that the drop in the rear is insane compared to the front for some reason and nothing was taken out from my car that caused this difference. I had the dunloop tires with 15mm spacers in the rears and 12mm spacers in the front (ATAKA spacers hub centric) and it was perfect. I just installed the Michelin 4S super sport and it was rubbing in my rear. I have to get smaller spacers. I will put some pictures by Saturday when I return home.

If you plan on getting the springs, go to mercedes and look up the part numbers with the guys at the service/parts for the shim pads. It differs from car to car depending on your current suspension (performance, standard, etc.) My new right rear shim pads raises the car a few mm's, which was enough to even out the 1/2" to 3/4" difference I had. They are like $15-30 dollars and comes from California if ordered to mercedes. Also, Camber on the car was 0, so wear should be ideal/normal as with no hnr springs

Yes have had the H&r,s in my c63s Coupe for a little over a month now and love them rides roughly the same maybe a tad stiffer and Sport Plus. front is a bit lower then rear haven't done alignment yet but doesn't pull at all I'm putting the car away probably pretty soon for winter so I'll wind up getting the alignment next year.

Do you think you will install a camber kit too, or do you feel it isn't needed?

Thanks for the input fellas, ordering them today! FYI as stated before, Tire rack has the non-adjustable H&R springs pn# 28766-1 for $299 which is the best price I found.

Honestly I probably haven't put enough miles on it yet to see how bad the tread is wearing. I'm going to do the alignment next year and hopefully can get away with that if I do need a camber kit it's most likely going to be for the fronts because you can tell they have more of a camber than the backs. I only put 500 miles on it since I lowered it.

Oh and I would also recommend 15 millimeter spacers if you're not going to get new Wheels looks way better. That's what I did all the way around. I ordered mine from supreme power fit perfect no issues for all four I think it was $250.

Thanks for the heads up. I will be ordering new 20” wheels as soon as I can decide on a set and stop changing my mind lol

Lol I know I keep going back and forth too. I mean it looks good with the stock wheels but just doesn't have that pop that 20's would give it.

Exactly! When lowered on 20” wheels German cars have a way different look/feel to them and it really sets them apart. My 2011 s4 looked so good on 20” Hre’s, but lucky for me the split 5 spoke Amg wheels aren’t bad so I’m not in a crazy rush.

Same here putting car away for winter soon so most likely take my time looking and get them for spring next year.

No doubt that the C63/S looks even more amazing after a slight drop using H&R. Here's a customer who did the same spring setup + a custom forged set of HRE P103's.

H&R's

Love my H&R's for the price; nevertheless, I will be going to a Coilover next year. The reason is the rebound is too loose. It's not tight enough for me. Love the look, ride quality is a B. IMHO

Thank you!

The setup we used on that car was: 20"x10" || 20"x11.5" with 265/30/20 || 305/25/20 MPSS

Just thought I’d post my assessment on the H&R lowering springs here:

Just got got them installed and I am getting Suspension travel error messages with hard cornering.

Trying to work out a solution short of going back to stock or trying a different solution. See my updates in the thread below:

https://mbworld.org/forums/c63-c63s-...ml#post7795784

The rear looks perfect in my opinion. But the front sits a little too low in my opinion. Wish I could go about 5mm higher or so.
I am wondering if there is a thicker shim/ spring pad available that will level it out some in front.

Pics too:

Mine is being dropped at the moment. Your front looks a lot lower than the rear... I'll pick up my car in a few hours and will post a few pics

Not really happy with the ride quality on HR Springs, the car doesn’t feel solid and too much creaking noises. What other options are out there?

If you want a solid feel you need a coilover kit more than just springs. Renntech specializes in Mercedes and have developed what you need. I have them in-stock ready to go.
