I plan on taking my C63s coupe to the track for the first time. I am excited but do have some concerns. The electronic brake seems to automatically be applied when I place the car in park. That's fine during normal daily use. However, at the track, the brake pads become hot to a point that they could warp rotors if applied to one location for a long period of time. I would like to avoid this potential problem. My question is does the E-brake apply the brake pads on the rotor or is it a separate system? Any advice would be appreciated.

This was a concern at the AMG driving academy. They instructed us to IMMEDIATELY turn the ebrake off upon opening the door (when the brake is applied) by pushing the button.

You do not need worry about this, because parking brake will release by itself if it detect (calculated) the temp. is higher enough.
