What coilovers are you guys running?

Planning on switching my car up and putting it on a set of coilovers, its bagged on airforce suspension right now. Currently in the lead for me are the KW V3's, however I'm not 100% sold on them yet. Definitely like the fact that they have EDC and can utilize my dampening button inside but as I've lived without that button for a while now it's honestly not a big deal to me. Close behind the KWs are the BC Racing ER coilovers, fully optioned out with custom spring rates they're about 1000$ less than the KWs.

What are you guys running? Is there a better option that the two I'm looking at? Not interested in kw HAS or anything like that. I want a full blown fully customizable high end coilover.

Anyone running ohlins? I looked into them but didn't see them make anything for this platform. I'm sure they do though.....

Why are you moving away from air? I was half looking into air as a way to have a bit of lift for clearing driveways. From what I'd been reading it sounds like air has improved a lot in terms of being a performance/sports option. Not so?

Also, KW V3 does not support EDC. You get modules that will prevent error codes, but you will no longer have electronically adjustable damping.

The only other coilover option I've seen was a custom one-off setup with JRZ shocks.

^^ What he said.

You have dampening control but it has to be done manually without the button inside the car. The HAS is the only kit KW makes that utilizes the factory dampening since the shocks are still OEM.

Moving away from air not because of performance aspect, this suspension is better than the stock was. Never going back to stock. But because i am planning on upgrading turbos and going with 295 maybe 305s on my sedan so there will be absolutely no way I'll be able to air the car out without widebody for the extra tire... Or I could run crazy camber but nah that's not my style.

My suspension is for sale if anyone is interested.

Airforce struts and bags, airlift 3H management

And I'm not sure if I believe that. KW told my supplier they had 1 kw v3 kit with EDC for my car in the US for 3000$ shipped.

And sorry for the triple post but for 6 months the factory EDC plugs have been zip tied away and unplugged, there are no error codes, nothing out of ordinary, just doesn't do anything anymore.

Honestly not convinced it ever did anything with the stock suspension anyways. It rode like *** stock

I am not an expert on any of this so I hope this does not sound stupid.
Can't you just change/update the springs and leave the rest stock in order to keep the dampening functional?
I have been trying to find Eibach springs which I have not seen anyone mention on this forum. I have used Eibach on a couple cars in the past and was always happy with the results.
I have a coupe so I am able to go with 305 in the rear and 275 in the front with the stock setup and from what I have read I may even be able to lower it a little. I am going to get the wider tires first becasue the last thing I want is rubbing plus the road in Los Angeles are pretty bad although from what I have read changing springs only does not affect the ride quality all that much.

Mr. Pink, I am sorry to see you changing the air ride. I really liked what you have done. But I totally get it. I cannot put the power down with the coupes tires. I can only imagine what it is like with less tire. But I am sure whatever you end up doing will be cool. I cannot wait to see what you do next
