Anyone tint their sunroof or Pano roof?

South Florida.. had the car tinted and a heat barrier film for the windshield. Was wondering in anyone tinted to sunroof or Pano as well? Thinking of doing it here for extra heat rejection. Thanks in advance for your reply.

I tinted every window, My pano is super dark because I don't want really any sun to show when I have the screen closed. I of course still get a little but once I open the screen I get more light. I'm in AZ so I have some really good tint on my car. I'm using Prestige Photosync Tint. Probably one of the best tints I have ever put on any of my cars.

Thanks for your response ... I have some kind of carbon or nano carbon film installed + a windshield heat barrier .. an 85 I think. Windows are 35 as I didn't want to go totally dark since I have old eyes and I do drive at night with the loony birds we have here in Miami. It is garaged indoors at the condo so it's time in bright sun light is kinda limited. They gave me a lifetime warranty, materials and labor, so I am not concerned and they have been in business there about forever. They did my C350 5 years ago and it was perfect so I went back with the new AMG. I've got the same black wheels on a Selenite sedan but for some reason your rears look oversize a bit?? R they? What tires are you on? and thanks again for responding.

This tint gets darker when it's sunny outside and gets lighter at night right?

Is it noticeable?

It's not bad at night for me at all and I now have 35% on my front windshield and I think he did 5% all the way around.

As for my rear tires, they're right now 265/35/19 I think. But I'm actually changing them out very soon to put 305/30/19 on the rear with new Wheels. I posted a thread on here if you want to check it out.

2017 GLC43. Had my front side windows tinted to match all the rear windows. Looks perfect. Tinted the pano roof as dark as possible so the sun won't shine through. Didn't want the sunroof at all but no cars available without it.
Still a little sun spot shines through

I've had more than one tint shop refuse to to the pano roof in a dark tint cuz it'll make it absorb even more heat, and so if it cracks from the heat, they're on the hook for replacing it, which is EXPENSIVE. So I just did clear tint for the heat rejection.

CXP 18 on sunroof now. In ECO engine stop is much more frequent and last longer even with the slide cover retracted. Obvious to the touch and feel that much less heat is entering the vehicle.

Pano roof

On my GLC I opted to not even get it.

I had a two piece roof in my E550 coupe and I had it tinted. It made a huge difference on hot summer days here in SoCal.

I have 3M crystalline 90 on the sunroof and rear pano. It’s already tinted from the factory so I didn’t want it any darker and only for heat rejection. It works wonders.

I considered doing a clear thermal tint on the sunroof to keep heat out but opted not to, even though i think it would keep in-car temps a little lower. I just did windows and windshield. But would not want to darken pano roof any more than it is stock. The sun screen provides enough darkening IMO, even here in Texas.
