AWE Track Exhaust Question, installed valve simulator for the h-pipe ?
Hey guys,
I was having some issues with my AWE Track Exhaust for my 17 C63s. Around 2000 rpms I would have a squeaky h-pipe valve. When the valve was closed there was no noise. When it was opened I would get a squeak/whistle around 1800-2200 rpms. Contacted AWE and they wanted me to ship the h-pipe to have it repaired. Problem is I sold my stock PE exhaust and my car is my daily driver. So i had AWE ship me a valve simulator and today I got installed. Purpose of the valve simulator is to keep the valve open 100% of the time.
Car is making great power, loud and strong up top. But I feel like the car is quieter low end ? Could this be possible.
The car is not in limp mode and making great power.
Thoughts ?
Thank you.....

Any way you can lubricate the H-pipe valve? Might be something easy to try before you ship the H-pipe back to AWE?
Perhaps next time you go on vacation, you can ship the H-Pipe back before you leave, so when you return it's waiting for you? So no car downtime that will affect you?

If that worked (but only for a few days), try using a high temperature lubricant. The exhaust is so hot, it probably burned that regular lubricant right off!

No, but hopefully someone here can help.
