Exhaust sediment
Just purchased a 2015 c63 with about 30,000 km on the clock, love the car( traded my 2008 c63 in for this one) only problem is when I put something in the boot and lean up against the rear of the car I get black stains on my clothes, I think it is coming from the exhaust but the fine black sediment ( for want of a better word ) seems to reach up quite high at the back of the car, not just at the bottom where the exhausts are, has anyone else had this problem and can I do something about it

I'm not talking about general grime, this stuff stains clothing and you can't get it out. It never happened with my previous c63 so I thought there might be a problem, I was hoping someone might have had an answer

Thanks brevet, I think some of the grime could be brake dust, I believe they were recently replaced but some of the grime is definitely at the rear of the car where I wouldn't expect the brake dust to reach, guess I'll be washing the car an awful lot

Soot from how rich the turbo cars run under load, the airflow on the back of the car makes it swirl around and deposit itself all over the car, not just by the exhaust.
Sounds like you need to be more careful to not lean on the car, or clean it more often. Shouldn't be that dirty that it makes a mess of you.
