Installed the cooler grilles today . You will need to remove the coolers to complete the job as the ducts are in the way . The grilles are very easy to install once the coolers are removed and they have barbs that push into the cooler fins and they also have tangs on the ends to slide under the cooler tanks ...... pretty simple but removing coolers is a pain and whole job with the bumper already removed took just about an hour. My car only has 15,000 miles roughly and you can see the amount of impacts the coolers have already taken ....this should cut down the damage significantly

Awesome updated look! I have the same color sedan and looking to add the grill. Thinking about not installing the bottom inserts though.
just curious did you go to MB dealership to install the grill? If so how much did it cost you if you don't mind me asking?
im looking to order the parts from MB and have them install it.
I work for Mercedes ...the time to remove and install the bumper is 1.9 hrs and to change the grille another 10-15 minutes but if your are going to do it change all as it doesn't look right with just the upper . The lowers aren't that expensive and they only add another 15-20 minutes to change them but then again the grilles should be added to the coolers for protection. If you don't then it will just be a matter of time as they are very exposed

So if you only change the top grill with the star, it will leave the coolers exposed? The lower grill should also be changed out as well to protect the coolers? Sorry not aware of the whole set up.
No , you can change out the upper and it will expose the ac condenser a bit more but shouldn't be an issue but the upper grille w/ the older grilles IMO doesn't look right . We did it just to see what it would look like and pretty much everyone in my shop didn't like it and I agreed but to each there own . If you just want the upper done ,do it and expect to pay about 2.2 hours labour
There is a white one in this thread from Ontario that has a black version new style grille , I'm thinking its aftermarket ,and it has the old style lower grilles so you can judge for yourself .

So, in your opinion all the guys with facelifted C63 should consider those grills protectors?
By all means yes.... Why do you think Mercedes has installed them on all 2019 models ....... because of the number of coolers that have been damaged and had to be replaced and this was before the facelift was done .The facelift really opens up the the lower grilles and will allow some pretty pieces big of debis in to impact the coolers. Look at mine and I only have 15,000 miles . All GT's , E63S & C63's now come with the grille installed from the factory . There are people on this forum that have suffered damaged coolers and had to replace them ....and they aren't cheap . The grilles are cheap and the labour is worth the cost savings compared to replacing a cooler

Hi. Si the 2019 comes with grill protection including the middle? I need three of them? Left right and middle? I sa your post the coolers needs to be remove to install the grills but how about the middle? I have to remove it too?

Mine is a 19 C63S that i Will take deliver in a week or two. I already have this protections?
Question for those that have done the conversion ........ What did you do about your temperature sensor mounting in the left lower grille ? Ive been waiting for a 2019 c63 to come into my work so I can see how its it's mounted to the lower grille. There is a round opening but unlike the earlier years there is no extension to mount it in its just a hole .
The Mercedes parts catalogue does not show any add't parts and the sensor seems to be the same part number as earlier years . For now I zap strapped mine in place but there must be another piece or something different about the sensor ......... anyone ?
If you are doing the conversion and do not have a 360 camera in the front this is the blank you need to fill the hole in the upper grille ....took a while to figure it out as EPC doesn't really tell you this part and it took a bit of guessing but this is what I ended up with ....part # is in the photo. You will need to trim it to fit and glue it in place as it's not an exact fit . They do not make a blank for the new grille , this is for the 2015- 2018 model grille

When you say lowers, what is the specific part called? Having my grille installed Wednesday but want to make sure I have everything I need just in case I need to go by MB first to get the part. Your call looks great.
