I'll try and take a before and after from the same position of this screen vs stock as well. It looks a lot better than the slight change in dimensions might suggest.

How was the install? Would you buy it again? Could you also elaborate a bit on the Bluetooth module you mentioned from eBay. Thanks. Looks awesome, especially with touchscreen!

The install was incredibly easy for me, but I can't comment on how others will find it. Involves removal of the centre console (plenty of guides on how to do this) and some threading of wires behind and up to where the screen sits.
I would definitely buy it again. You gain a ton of functionality but lose absolutely nothing as the stock system is always there and ready to use exactly as it was before.
With regards to the module, playing sound over bluetooth has a delay (whereas aux does not), so I would definitely recommend it if your car needs it.
You could test the delay in your car now by playing a video on youtube and streaming the audio to your car

Apologies for the fumbling and mumbling, I'm no seasoned YouTuber, but it should give you some idea

Really looks like the oem one, fits perfectly. Can you share the sizes (height and width) of the new display to compare it with the stock one.
Thanks again

Amazing video, I am ordering one now! It looks snappy and clean which is what I was hoping for. Using Tasker to activate the hot spot is a good idea, let us know if you find any more useful tricks. Sure has come a long way since I installed a tablet in my z4
Thanks again!
Thanks again!

Best of luck
If it wasn't for the square corners and the crappy graphic you get when using the stock system, I'd have probably gone for the wider one too.
Do note that the 9 inch screen also has an anti reflective coating, I don't think the 10 inch wide ones do.

I did it myself
I'm no mechanic or electrician so it's certainly doable on your own. The wiring harness is plug and play so there's no wire splicing or soldering involved.
The instructions they provide are pretty confusing, but a somewhat abridged guide (at least for my car) would be:
Remove the speaker grille that sits on the top of the dash
Loosen the two torx screws that are inside the cavity
Pull the centre screen outwards towards the back of the car
Undo the cables and disconnect the screen
Remove the centre console
Undo the two torx screws holding in the main media unit
Pull the main media unit out and disconnect the large block connector
Remove the optical cable plug from the main connector
Plug the optical connector into the block on the new wiring harness
Connect the new wiring harness to the old connector and the media unit
Run the required cables up to the screen area (this can be a bit fiddly)
Run the USB cable from the audio box into the centre console
Connect everything up to the screen (GPS antenna, audio box, stock screen cable, main cable) and install everything else in reverse order
The harness they send comes with a TON of connections on it for things like aftermarket cameras, making things a little confusing. Nearly all of them can be ignored for most people.
