2019 larger screen

I'm no mechanic or electrician so it's certainly doable on your own. The wiring harness is plug and play so there's no wire splicing or soldering involved.
The instructions they provide are pretty confusing, but a somewhat abridged guide (at least for my car) would be:
Remove the speaker grille that sits on the top of the dash
Loosen the two torx screws that are inside the cavity
Pull the centre screen outwards towards the back of the car
Undo the cables and disconnect the screen
Remove the centre console
Undo the two torx screws holding in the main media unit
Pull the main media unit out and disconnect the large block connector
Remove the optical cable plug from the main connector
Plug the optical connector into the block on the new wiring harness
Connect the new wiring harness to the old connector and the media unit
Run the required cables up to the screen area (this can be a bit fiddly)
Run the USB cable from the audio box into the centre console
Connect everything up to the screen (GPS antenna, audio box, stock screen cable, main cable) and install everything else in reverse order
The harness they send comes with a TON of connections on it for things like aftermarket cameras, making things a little confusing. Nearly all of them can be ignored for most people.
Hey Tom, working on installing mine but for some reason have no audio from factory or new screen.
Can you please explain this step?
Remove the optical cable plug from the main connector
Plug the optical connector into the block on the new wiring harness
Thanks!
I now have no audio from the Android unit. I understand you are supposed to search for the Android unit from the Mercedes head unit, but the Android unit does not appear when I try to connect with the Mercedes. My phone can see the Android unit and pair with it. How did you get the stock unit to see it? I do not see any button for pairing on the Android unit.
Thanks again!

Factory screen had 2 cables going to it when you pulled it out but it looks like only one of those can go into the new Android unit, is that right? Does the other one just sit loose? So it’s just main big white connector, smaller blue connector (that was also on the factory screen previously, and the GPS/4g antennas if needed?
But, now that it’s in, its awesome. The CarPlay dongle works great too.
