16 c63s sedan stereo questions
hello , my c63s sedan has bremester sounds system . I was very excited about this before I got the car. However ……. it doesn't sound right to me . the base is really weak compares to my 16 cayenne with premium sound. Its so bad I feel my old w204 507 sounded better.
Am I doing something wrong ???? how do you guys set it up ? I had treble at 6 / mids at 6 / bass all the way up / surround sounds front n back.
The speakers are loud and clear but super weak bass.
let me know what I can do different. thank you !

So I was just running into this problem too
lets be honest, sounds like **** compared to other car stereo systems.
has anyone replaced speakers that didn’t cost an arm and leg?
My w204 also sounded much better

This setting here makes all the difference in the World if you are streaming from a smartphone - which most probably do. I put the pics in sequence to show how it's done. But it is also annoying because every time you start your car you need to press the Boost button. Wish there was a way that It could just stay on constantly. So every time you leave the car (turn it on and off) and come back, the Bluetooth reconnects to the car. Try this and let me know. Hope it helps/works.

If deep bass is what you're looking for you're in the wrong place. You'll need to add an amp and speakers to get what you want. Adequate is what the Burmester is.

The stereo is marginal at best, and in fact does NOT use Burmeister components at all. They consulted on the design and got to put their name on it. The components are generic and probably Chinese made...cheap quality ......and sound. There are some great threads here if you search on this topic along with excellent upgrades done by a few members.

If you search " Burmester upgrade" in the search tab 3 of the first 10 results pertain to the w205...ton of excellent info with additional links to external sites with upgraded system tutorials with component lists included.

I am somewhat surprised by this thread. What are you coming from that you think the bass is so weak?! I think in flat setting it's a bit bloated let alone boosed to +1 or more.
I think for a stock, OEM stereo it's pretty decent. It could use better amplification and drivers but the car is already a poor audio environement.
