Stained Carpet
while cleaning my 2017 C63s sedan last week I noticed that the carpet behind the passengers seat (left side of car - Austalian delivered vehicle) was stained. Tried cleaning it but no success. No idea what it is. Seems to have come form the seat rail. Anybody else seen anything like this ? Mercedes Dealer says they haven’t seen anything likr it and don’t know what it is.

the strange thing is that there is no smell at all. It’s not water soluble. It’s like a plastic... really hard.

I thought it it was some mechanical liquid from the seat but Mercedes said that’s impossible

Might be a storage oil. Have you tried something mild like simple green?

im taking it back to Mercedes and they will try an clean.

Im just concerned if it doesn’t clean and the carpet needs to be replaced?

I’m not sure when it occurred because it was under the carpet mat. Only noticed the other day when I tried vacuuming the car.

I thought it may be something from the seat railing but Mercedes said it can’t be. Has anyone seen anything similar ?

When I was younger, I was very often in the back of the car with women haha. Sometimes it looked like it xD But it's a weird place for that. Normally it ends up somewhere else.
