Saw this review and I have to disagree with everything he said except for the fact that it's fun and the nice interior. One of the most capable daily I've ever own. Every review and owner impression says how capable this car is especially the review by remove before race. Is this because he cannot drive?

I'm not sure I see your concern. First off, this is a C63, not a C63 S. So less power and no dynamic engine mounts and no electronic locking differential. This stuff does make a difference in the S. But in general if you are expecting M4 sharpness, that's not what this car is about. It's a 4000 lbs GT that can do comfortable long distance journeys and be a hoot when you want it to be and quite capable on the track if you are into that sort of thing. Also, the 2019 has many aspects improved. The suspension has been reworked. It's more comfortable in comfort mode and more dynamic in Sport+, the transmission is all new and the new AMG Dynamics stuff that controls the torque vectoring and the e-diff is all overhauled and new and not to mention that 9-stage traction control system (only in the S) from the GT-R. Dynamically the 2019 C63 S is noticeably improved and in terms of power and torque the S has plenty. The standard C63 is perhaps a little underpowered.

What a world we live in - 469BHP is 'underpowered'.... ;-)
I used to think that a 220BHP Golf GTI was pretty much all I ever needed. Then the horsepower wars started and we are now here.

I didn't buy this car based on what some git on the internet thinks. For what it is, it's very good.

I did see a few people challenging RBR on their first ever video (I think) which was picking up 3 cars , one being a c63. then a follow up video of the c43 where he tries to argue the 43 is a better daily. the 43 simply isn't a better daily in my opinion. he then reviews the facelift c63 like it is the best thing since sliced bread and if you look at his videos, there was never a standalone c63 review until the facelift. my theory is somewhere between the time he picked up the c63 and the facelift, that he grew some *****. the c63 is very quick if you have some driving skill but more importantly is a class leading entertainer. that's it MO.
I know at least 5 people who bought the F series M4 and got rid of it within a year as it isn't a good daily. might be scalpel sharp certainly, but as an overall package just doesnt work that well except on track. the competition pack may have changed that but for my money , it is alfa quadrifoglio or , even better , c63s. it's not for people who are scared of wheel spin and slides though.

no offence to 19 year olds but what on earth does a 19 year old know about driving ? one , two or max 3 years of driving experience...Originally Posted by koifysh

Agree with many of the points here. If anyone is buying a C63S for its sportcar driving dynamics, this is the wrong car. Go buy a 718 GTS. You buy a C63S for that V8 rumble, the class leading interior, and significantly higher fun factor than a sterile RS5 or M4. And it’ll post decent numbers on a track too, if you’re good.Originally Posted by right_mr

Also: isn’t his car tuned? Could he a lot of truth in his complaints about not being quick. Lots of threads here about how tunes makes the car slower off the line. Makes it even harder to put the power down

Raz has a w204 black series and he got rid of his glc63s in anticipation of his c63s coupe being delivered on time and it's delayed like the rest of the UK supposedly until March according to one of his recent posts on IG.
Funny thing is right when I added aero to my car it started production a day or two later. My car still has a build date in mid Feb so I don't know what's going on.

Have to be honest, my Cadillac ats-V outperformed my c63s coupe in handling and braking, even though I run better tires and brakes on the AMG than I did on the V. The Cadillac was more comfortable with the magride.
That's it though. The c63s is much louder, faster in a straight line, and the interior blows the Cadillac out of the water even if it does creak and rattle a bit. I do understand what they are saying about handling as it is a very heavy car but it's about the entire experience of the sound the luxury and the amazing motor.

spot on! Handling is not on par but not bad either for what it is. I agree about the rattles lol. Hopefully Mercedes remedy it with the facelift

I don't see why anyone would take what they are saying as gospel... It's not like they are true automotive journalist or professional drivers with years are driving experience. Not to mention they are driving the base car on a cold and wet day .

My C63S is the slowest car in my garage.
It's not the most practical car in my garage.
It's not the flashiest car in my garage.
It's not the most economical car in my garage.
It's not the best handling car in my garage.
Yet it's the ONLY ONE that gives me a ****-eating grin every time I start it.
