No More 2019 Sedans?
I have had a 2019 C63S sedan with a Feb build date since early November. Anyway, I heard today that all of the orders for 2019 sedans "were deleted" from the system yesterday, and that you can now only order a coupe for MY 2019...they said maybe in MY 2020 there will be sedans. Anyway, I hate to start a BS thread, and I am very skeptical of the reliability of this info, but it did come from the #2 guy at my local dealership. Anybody know anything? Thanks, and again, sorry if this is horse****, but it is definitely what I was told today. Thanks.

Not really answering your question but was your build locked> And did you know what decade in Feb for?
The reason I ask is that, we're in March which means that if you build was locked your car should be in
production now.

That seems highly unlikely unless MB has some issues with their Sedan production line. Low demand could be one other reason, but I see no reason to discontinue just the C63 sedans abruptly since they have already announced it for MY 2019. The configurators went live on their website just recently I think, and the sedan deliveries have been arriving over just the last few months.
Doing this change starting with the next model year (i.e. 2020) would seem more plausible.
Having said that, I'm considering the purchase of the C63S sedan and this would be a huge bummer. Might have to reconsider the Audi RS5 Sportback if that happens.

I know it sounds crazy, but that is where I am. I have ordered (successfully) other cars over the years no problem, so this was odd. Eager to see what happens over the next few days.

Maybe it is just your dealer that does not have any allocations left for the year. Are they a small one and not a AMG performance shop? Maybe call another store and ask if they can still order a sedan for the 2019 MY. Sounds very early to have a cutoff.

Hi, Where is build your C63?
Since 2018, the East London Factory in South africa also builds part of the production of the C63 sedans, for certain markets.
I ordered my C43 AMG in November and the Dealer still not have a definitive production, delivery date etc... just has in the system an automated order number and not much more. Another EU customer in the C43 forum stated when ordered in February his C43 the dealer said to him that the AMG versions has been delayed, due capacity problems in East London factory. Possibly could be related?
If you ordered yours, for sure they have the factory assigned and a automated production date, but what possibly they don't have it's all the rest of internal dates/numbers for the production assignment. This is what happens to my order.
Regards

Maybe they are trying to get back on that release schedule. It'll be interesting to see when the 2020 is actually available - I received my MY2018 in September 2017.

It sounds early but actually makes sense if you consider the fact the MY2019 were delayed compared to the previous year, probably because of the facelift. I ordered a MY2018 coupe in March of 2017 and while the order wasn't official until the middle of April 2017, they stopped accepting orders for MY2017 sometime in March 2017. Mine was a coupe but I think the same was true for the sedans.

New Joiner here - I've been working with my dealership in the US for a few months on a new C63S coupe. I was told all MY 2019 orders ended sometime before this month. 2020 order banks expected to open around the second week of April 2019. I've placed a refundable deposit to secure one of the allocations my dealership expects to receive next month.

OP, where are you located? The sedans are built in multiple factories, so this may be the case in specific markets. For North America, the sedans are built in Alabama, USA. For Europe, some are built in Bremen, Germany and others in East London, South Africa. The coupes are all built in Bremen. I suppose it's possible that the order books are full now for some of these factories given the delay of the 2019s and many had ordered them early last year.

Yep, I know, but the 63 where built in Bremen for all versions, last year they begun to build them in East london and I am not clear if Tuscaloosa plan also builds the 63 AMG, that's why possibly it will be a good point to ask, where it's assign the build, if it helps
PS; I am from Spain.(strangely the sedans for big part of Europe are not coming from Bremen). I am still waiting mine and sometimes I think why I didn't go for the 63 AMG.
Regards!

Yes, the 63 sedan for North America is built in Tuscaloosa. All C Class sedans, regular and AMG for North America are built there. Once in a while I've heard US dealers get one from South Africa for no specific reason, but that seems rare. We can't do European Delivery for a 63 sedan for example, because Bremen doesn't build US spec 63 sedans. The coupe continues to be exclusively built in Bremen, and is available for European Delivery. I'll be picking mine up in less than 2 months.
