New Member - Future (AMG) Owner
At the conclusion of the course it became extremely evident that the C63s Coupe is dollar for dollar the best in the AMG line up. That said, I intend to order one at the end of 2019 but have a couple of questions for the group...
1. Night Package - how easy is it in regard to scratches? When ordering can you opt out to specific parts? For instance, personally I’d opt out for the mirror covers and side skirts.
2. Aerodynamic Package - unfortunately the AMG website doesn’t afford a 360 exterior view. What specifically comes with the upgrade? What does it look like, and is it truly worth it?
thanks in advance for your time,
Chris

2. Try the UK website for a good visualizer. MBUSA used to offer the 360-view, but lately they've been straight up lazy.
Good pick on the C63S btw
I completely agree
1. Night Package is gloss black so you'll get the usual issues with swirls. However, the surface area isn't all that big for the parts it covers and almost none of it is eye level (except for the spoiler + window trim). The paint quality is very good, so it's not really a huge issue, especially if you PPF/ceramic. You cannot opt out of specific parts.

Second, welcome to family. I, too, am a convert with the facelift C63S coupe.
Confirm no part-level selection on the night package.
The aero package has a beefier front spoiler (the additional bottom gloss black lip in this pic)

The rear diffuser is more aggressive, the side skirts are also beefier, and the rear spoiler resembles the older model Edition One. This rear pic sorta illustrates the diffuser and the rear spoiler a bit. Generally speaking, most of the online "pro" pics and videos show a car with the aero package and the night package.

As a guy who did NOT include the aero package in his config, I would strongly recommend you do. However, advise caution if you intend to add any carbon fiber packages with it -- what is carbon fiber and what isn't when you get the aero pkg gets a tad confusing. The monster thread "2019 C63S Deliveries" is flush with discussions on the topic. I think the user "purple widow" is the resident expert on aero + CF packages, if you need that info.
I'm glad to hear you enjoyed the coupe and the course at COA. I'm absolutely loving mine, and I'm scheduled to go to the Dec session at COA. I can't wait.

If you're concerned about swirls, you can do what I did with mine -- self-healing ceramic coat or PPF wrap them. I wrapped the mirror covers and the side skirts (and even part of the front A-wing). I ceramic coated the rear diffuser, the rear spoiler, the window trim, the exhaust covers, and the rest of the A-wing. That would address your swirl concerns and given it's such a small job, probably out the door for under $250. (I had my whole car wrapped and coated, so I don't know how much just those parts would cost).

2. The aero-package is absolutely worth it. It gives the car an aggressive, menacing look from every angle. The aero-package and the 19/20 inch wheels are must have options. Combining the CF1 package with aero-package give you the larger aero-kit spoiler in CF.

In regard to the night package specific to swirls/scratches my main concern is around the doors as people have a tendency to put their hands all over the pillars when closing after exiting. Do you have that area ceramic coated as well?
