So when my car is at the dealer and they are crapping around with it for a week for some mundane task that should take 3 hours, I have to reset the thing a million times for Valet and Trip Diary.
Sorry, where is this now? I opened mercedes me and can't find "trip diary/log." It seems like that would be in mercedes me connect, but i cannot find that option there either...?

Just mash the app. Then mash “Vehicle Monitoring (mind says Vehicle Monitoring is On). Then mash Driving Journal. Then mash 24 Hours.

Very weird. Heres’a mine. Maybe you aren’t paying for the Mercedes safety services? It’s not free after the first year or so. I wanted the emergency location and help services, and that package also lets me do this stuff, I think?

Yeah, I think something has changed for 2019. When I click on "connect" it goes to a page where I can launch the mercedes me connect app, which then opens that app. That's where I think the info should be but it's not there. Probably revamped for 2019. Someone else with a 2019 can probably confirm this...

The Mercedes Me Connect is for the 2019+

The vehicle monitoring is still there, just takes a few more steps to get to.

Open the app, and to the right of your vehicle image, click the settings wheel. Speed alert is there, and the vehicle monitoring is under "Notifications." Once you tap notifications, you have to tap "valet protect" and then you can select the notifications you want and set the geo-fencing. I don't know if this shows a travel history via GPS or not, as I haven't tried it, but seems to be essentially the same thing as on the Mercedes Me app.

been there, done that.

all it has now is 3 pages showing travel summaries now...no individual trip history though. bummer. saw and played around with the geofencing and valet services already...not what we're looking for.

oh well.

Yes with 2019, the set of features supported has changed. You can no longer see the full journal/log with MY2019s (and newer too I guess). It used to be possible with the older year models.

It's neither available in the browser nor in the Mercedes Me Connect app. It would have been an useful feature IMO, but probably just too much data for them to store on their Cloud/servers I guess and hence did not want to continue offering it. Another reason could be possible changes that MB's legal department might have suggested.

Now that was a funny thread to read. In the end, I think the theory about the GPS and the dyno makes the most sense. Business is most likely innocent here.
