Dealership recommendations in SF Bay Area California for placing an order

I'm looking to place my order for C63S in SF Bay area, California. I have tried contacting few dealers through the mbusa website's form, but I have got no response yet. I'm planning to visit few dealerships in person next week, but I thought it would be good to get some initial info over email before I head out there in person.

Do you have any specific sales manager contacts that you could share if you have a good ordering experience recently? Would be also good to know if there are dealerships that can be avoided in case of any bad experiences. Thanks.

Indeed. I ordered mine from MB of San Jose while I was debating between other dealerships around all the way up to San Francisco.
MB of San Jose made my entire experience from A to Z an excellent and unforgettable while receiving the latest updates on each and every single step of the process. There you’ll find the best GM I’ve ever seen in my life (Stan) and I was able to get my custom order through with Tedi. Here are the contact info if need to:

2003 C320 coupe/c450 in Feb 2016
Mercedes of Walnut Creek, i got 8000$ off MSRP when i ordered my 2016 C450. MSRP is 62,500$, that' like almost 13% off.
this person doesnt work there anymore, maybe he gave away too much discount?

I have a BAD experience at Mercedes of San Francisco, this salesperson told me multi-times that the 1000$ deposit is refundable.
She only gave me 4000$ off MSRP even tho i told her i'm a repeat customer, i bought my 2003 C320 there.
When i tried to cancel my order cus Walnut Creek gave me 8000$ off, she gave me a hard time to give me a refund.
I asked her for a receipt for proof that i cancelled the order, she refused. she said there is no receipt. what?
another salesperson said "you will get your refund when the car is sold". what? my car haven't even build yet.
i have to scream and yell to make them write me a check. haha

Always put deposit with credit card. If there' a problem, just dispute it with your credit card company.

Thanks for the feedback everyone. I reached out to few dealerships over email and phone so far. I shared the list of options I'm particular about and ones that I'm flexible on. I've emailed close to 12 dealerships in bay area, but have hardly got response from two of them so far.

I guess I need to visit in person to really make them take interest. I plan to schedule few appointments and visit either later during the week or weekend. I will share how it goes.

I also looked at inventories across the country using websites like autotrader, cars.com but could not find a close enough model to the options I was looking at. By the looks of it so far, most likely I would end up placing a custom order for MY 2020 C63S.

I contacted few dealerships who responded with vehicles from the MY2019 inventory. I was surprised at the mere 1% off MSRP they were offering for MY 19 vehicles. May be it's because I'm in Bay area. For MY 2020 orders, they told they can't do anything under MSRP. Seems like such a rip off.

I'm now even considering looking at dealerships outside of the bay area.

I had a 2019 C63S ordered from SF MBZ with a very nice build and a signed commitment from one of their sales managers for 8% off sticker. An ordered E63S came in and the buyer backed away from it and I took it with a discount, but not the 8% promised on the order for the C. The C63S had a scheduled build for May 28 with a proposed delivery of sometime in July. I purchased a 2017 GTS off of the floor from SF three years ago and also got a discount off of the sticker. Let me know if you are interested in speaking with this sales manager and I can let him know. I can't promise anything, but I was treated very fairly. I can send you the configuration of the build if you want to PM me, they may still make a deal on it.

Oakland told me they had no allocation. They called me in a few weeks to say they did. Too bad for them, I had ordered elsewhere.

Fletcher Jones in Fremont was all over me trying to get me to come in. I ordered a car. As time went on I asked for a status update. No response whatsoever after many attempts to contact my salesperson and a manager. I canceled the order.

Ordered again in Pleasanton. Has been good so far. Car goes into production this week.

The two dealerships I ordered from said they would not negotiate any price until the car is delivered. One used the excuse that since their price may change due to possible tariffs, they weren't willing to talk price until the car was in their hands.

I was able to find a local dealership who had a car on their lot and was able to offer a great deal on it. It had 90% of the options/packages that I wanted, and I decided that the remaining 10% is something that I can easily live without and so I pulled the trigger.

Thank you everyone for the responses in the thread and all the folks who reached out to me my PM.

I got the sense that most of the dealers were only interesting in moving the bread and butter C300. Majority of the dealers were not interested in taking an order. I contacted two other dealerships who also had few C63S vehicles in their lots but didn't bother responding. It may be just because it is Bay area and folks are willing to pay MSRPs (and sometimes even markups) for these cars. Since it's been a long time since I purchased my previous car and it was nowhere near this price range, it has been a good experience as well on what to expect when purchasing them

Another reason might have been that only few dealers have started taking orders for MY2020 and it incurs a lot of wait time, hence not a lot of interest for the sales department.
