2019 - Caliper Fitting Position

Anyone familiar with the button sequence for a 2019 model to move rear calipers to fitting position so I can perform brake pad replacement. Heading to track tomorrow.

Can you just to the old fashion way. Open the fluid reservoir cap, wrap a towel around the reservoir for over spill or you can suck some fluid out to prevent over spill. Used a big flat head driver and jam it between the rotor and pad the slowly de-compressing the caliber piston back.

Not 100% sure but on my ‘16 I pressed the phone answer, hangup and ok buttons at the same time and held for about 5 seconds before the service menu came up. Try that I’m sure it’s still the same on the facelift

Just did rear brakes on my ‘17. Make sure you are in odometer mode when you push the phone and ok buttons for several seconds. Good luck

Anyone replace the pads on the front brakes who has carbon ceramics? Looking for good set of pads like the porterfields for the rears. Amazingly I no longer hear the annoying squeals I did before with normal braking, and that was with just the rears replaced. Also took some beating on the tires with a rubber mallet to remove those rear wheels.

If its the same as the pre facelift ( Any reason to think it has changed?), You just go to odometer mode, make sure the doors are all shut and the key is inserted into the dash (Not appli able for 2019+ i believe) and put it in Ignition one position. Then press the answer, hang up, and OK buttons on the steering wheel at the same time. This will put your gauge display screen into a service menu where you will probably have to select something else in 1 of the sub menus to put it into brake change position. I am not sure because I did not explore the menu with brakes in mind.

Here’s a picture of my wheel. The phone button is there but no ok button. I’ve tried a number of combinations but no success...yet. Thoughts? I assume odometer mode is what’s displayed on left side of display?
