Steering Wheel Issue
Looking for some feedback and help on this please before I get it in the shop. When I bought my C brand new, the steering alignment was off. I had the alignment fixed but I've still had some issue lingering where it seemed that the car was pulling left and distronic was also impacted. I wasn't sure what it was until I looked at the actual steering wheel stripe compared to the rest of the center of the steering wheel unit with all the buttons, horn etc. When I have the stripe aligned straight center, the car drives straight but the rest of the steering wheel was positioned as if it was turned to the right. When I would drive trying to keep the steering wheel unit straight even (ignoring the stripe) the car would pull left of course.
So I measured the stripe from the top left edge of the Alcantara then the right. The steering wheel stripe is closer to the top left alcantara by a 1/2" than it is from the right side.
That's the problem and its a defect - that impacts distronic as well as alignment. Would this be something covered by warranty - replacing the steering wheel?

Yes, doesn't look right to me. It is a factory defect and needs to be covered under warranty. Talk to your dealer/SA, explain your problem and I think they should cover fixing (mostly replacing the steering wheel) under warranty.

Go to your dealer and SA, tell them the issue. If they don't fix it under warranty or give you excuses, say you want to talk to the GM of the dealership and CC MBUSA in all communications. Your problem will be solved real quick.
