I am seeing condensation appearing in both headlights on this cold morning. 2019 cabrio. Anyone else get this?

completely normal - they are open to the air and will evaporate when ran for a short period of time.

I think this must be a German design thing due to heat dissipation. I've had this happen to my A4 and W205 250. It only used to happen during winter and rain combo. Merc did it twice so I took it in for warranty, weird thing was I was informed they couldn't find anything but that issue has not reoccurred ever since. A4 had both front headlight and rear tail lights replaced under warranty.

Is this still happening to yours? My facelift lights (genuine) tend to fog up a bit on the exact inner corners after the rain.

Here's a pic

Oh damn that's sad. Sorry to hear.

Did yours always get condensation? Did you ask Mercedes about it when you still owned the car?

I never had a condensation before (2 years with the car) and had it happen once last week for the first time. I think it’s normal, my Tesla has it to from time to time in the winter.

That is the reason there are PINHOLE Holes in the headlight covers... They are NOT vacuums.. due to the ability to change the bulbs, etc...

I’m having the same issue with mine. Today went up north, about an hour drive came back after a couple hours parked in the garage and the driver side started to fog up. Has anybody had these replaced under warranty on the FL models?

She'll be fine, it's a German thing lol. Both my series 1 s205 and series 2 c205 do the same thing. Only happens under certain conditions. I wouldn't worry about it.

Hey Shlick that's the exact spot both of mine will occasionally do this still if it's a real humid day and it rains or if it's been a sunny day and I rinse the car down with the hose but it goes away quickly after an hour or two (without driving) and I never see any marking inside. I'd like to add mine have done this condensation thing for a bit over 3 years now and no issues with the lighting at all.

Still I guess it's never a good thing to have any sort of moisture in there but others were saying it's a normal thing and these headlights have little fans inside them? Not sure what's true any more but I don't think you need to be concerned at all.

Did they clear up okay after a few hours?

You're just low on blinker fluid! Unfortunately due to the pandemic everyone is out of it so dealers aren't topping up the lights when you go in for service anymore. Hopefully Autozone will get some more in stock soon... I call them up every day just to ask.

Yeah they actually did oddly enough! Just checked this morning and it’s completely gone. I was worried it would cause the electronics inside to fail prematurely. The moisture eventually turning into water droplets was my concern. If they have fans inside them that would be the first I’m hearing of that!

That’s too funny!!! I can’t believe they actually have a bottle labeled blinker fluid😂. Might need to perform the blinker fluid change on my front headlight then.

It cleared up this morning oddly enough. Have yours ever actually created water droplets? Wouldn’t it stain the inside of the headlight? My old Lexus use to do this and it got so bad that it actually blew the HID because of the water droplets.

Blinker fluid is on the same aisle as relative bearing grease.
One aisle over from geedunk, and pogie bait.
Not to mention large spools of flightline.

You're welcome, that said, I didn't seem to find such same notice in the operator's manual of newer MBs, I wonder if MB is trying to say this is "common knowledge" to us? Hmmm.
