As the former owner of several BMWs, it pains me to type this, but the rear bumper looks like someone bought a tacky Auto Zone trim dress up kit, spray-painted it, and then installed it.

To my eyes, that's what it looks like.

^ Absolutely - the entire panel with the diffusers looks tacked on. But at least its overshadowed by that hideous front end...

Honestly, I like it. It looks strikingly different from the regular 3 series, and that's what you want from a true M car.

This is much easier to digest for me, compared to the rumors of the next C63 being an I4.

Exactly. lol I agree, I think the rear is getting a pass because of what's going on up front.

i mean, you could always buy the s58 engine with the ugly facade if you're keen - or buy the SUV if you REALLY want it

Front is terrible, the back looks like an A5, and the interior, like all BMWs, will be boring. Setting all that aside, I'm sure it will be a fun drive.

A bit too early to rule out Mercedes won't do the same thing to the next generation, not accounting for the hybridization if that's the case as well

The Chris Bangle cars are masterpieces of automotive art compared to this atrocity. One of many reasons why I am leaving BMW for AMG. Let's face it, all car companies are going through a major transition to electrified powertrains now, and it's certainly the end of an era in terms of sound, emotional feedback, etc. But that doesn't mean the cars have to be ugly too. BMW has totally lost their way in terms of styling, both exterior and interior. I'm voting with my wallet. Hello C63 !!!
