I went to the dealer, took a test drive, the sound is not what I was expecting because of the particle filter in the muffler.
My friend have a 2017 model, I drive and sat in it all the time. The 2017 model definately sound more raw, the up shift bang is gone, really needed that.

Is it possible to switch the muffler with 2016-2018models or delete the filter, and tune the exhaust sound like before facelift?
Difficult to find a used 2016-2018model in decent condition in Toronto. And don't want to expend extra 30K or 40K for the sound don't even like. Help

I cannot stand that AutoVlog guy's C63 videos. They are just click-baity, long winded and some of them are overdramatic (like the splash hydrolocked and blew up my C63 engine video). Almost like that Supercars of London guy.
Do us a favor and don't post his videos. You're giving him the publicity he wants to create more fearmongering here.

And yes, the prefacelift models are louder.

Yeah Autovlog bloke's videos are painful. He's actually on this forum but never posts or contributes anything.

What makes you want a facelift over the prefacelift model aside from the looks?

I was going to get a facelift coupe but ended up getting the prefacelift because they sound much better and the pops in S+ are a riot. Also $40,000 cheaper (like you said).

Just get the prefacelift C63 and install the panamericana grille and the facelift diffuser plus facelift exhaust tips for $2000-$3000 extra and you're set mate

agree autovlog is trash

disagree facelift models are NOT louder. dont spread misinformation.

also, anyone with a pre-facelift that hasnt brought it to the dealership for the fuel cell recall yet, you are blessed. continue to opt out of that bs.
