DId you do the VB Biturbo letters as well.
It looks like each letter is separate is that right??
Thats gotta be a pain flossing each of them off one at a time.
I have a white C63s coupe with the night package and having black emblems would be a great look on my car but honestly my track record with this kind of DIY stuff is pretty bad so its pretty intimidating

The individual lettering comes off relatively easily. A small fine edged screwdriver. Catch the edge of each letter and 'flip it in an upward direction'. DO NOT GO SIDEWAYS. This is how you'll scratch your car. Remove the excess tape and install new lettering*.

*-When I had my car wrapped and coated, they took off all the badging before they started. I had purchased all gloss black lettering and the tint shop installed everything for me once done. Turns out the lettering kit came with a red S. It adds a little something I think. The chrome star is still left to do. Maybe this weekend.

The V8 Biturbo emblems were the easiest part.Yes, they are all separate but come off quick. I would avoid using a screwdriver suggested above, use floss instead. It's definitely worth the effort!

Someone asked for a pic of the side showing black lettering. If you can zoom in with a Mac, you can see fairly well.

Not sure on all models but most likely. Was on mine.

Heated it up very carefully keeping in mind that heat was getting to the camera and plastic behind the back side seams and slowly working floss around the outside. There are 3 grommets that fit into holes in the middle so you cant work the floss up/down all the way through you have to work your way around.
i wrapped my door handles

Alright just wanted to FU on this thread....
I have a 2019 C63s Coupe (night package)
Removed and replaced all the chrome lettering with gloss black lettering using a heat gun and fishing line.
Was actually pretty easy.
That star on the trunk lid though....
On my car the star is on a little plate that tilts up to reveal the camera when the car is in reverse.
I just want to be clear...there is no backing plate or screws, right??
Tried for a bit with the gun and fishing line and couldn't get that thing to budge one bit.
Because its mounted on a little movable piece its hard to tell if the fishing line is actually going underneath the edge of the star.
Anyone on this thread have any advice on getting the star off my car??

I did and caught grief because of the way I did it. I tried all the above too. Tried to use a small sharp sided screwdriver to budge it. Wound up using a box cutter and ever so carefully dug under the widest part of the star. It budged. A slight twist and little by little it gave. It broke. I then easily removed the rest. Cleaned it up. Pressed in/on the new one. NOTE: only works with the double sided tape it came with.

I do not recommend this for most people! One slip and you’ve trashed your car.

Mid you look closely you’ll see some damage at 12and 10.

Now that I have all them emblems replaced with gloss black (including the star on the trunk) those chrome door handles are making me crazy.
Sounds like three options:
1. Remove and paint
2. Remove and wrap
3. Use these: https://global.cksperformance.com/pr...or-accessories

The simplicity of just sticking them on with 3M is appealing but you'd never get them off.
I think having a pro shop remove them and wrap them is the best plan
Thoughts???????????

I did option 3 and looks and works great (although I did not buy from CKS). And you can get the 3M off if you really want to. I did it before.

Black badge on trunk where camera is

Are the badges the same for the C sedan vs coupes? On eBay it looks like some specify the difference. I’m doing a graphite grey magno and also deciding between gloss or matte?

I bought 2 sets of gloss black from this ebay seller automotive gem. Pretty good quality and also has the new s badge, the letters are near identical to oem ones but the s was slightly smaller than oem but you wouldn't be able to tell the difference unless you put them side by side. Comes with all the lettering spaced out nearly correctly and application tape on it aswell but I ended up making markings on masking tape cause I'm ocd with this type of thing and ended up doing it letter by letter.
If your gonna diy it the v8 biturbo and c63s were easy to get off but the amg on the rear was a massive pia to get the residual off.

I think the black badges look great on any colour except black, I thought about doing it on my black coupe but after seeing it on other black cars I decided not to.

The black on black I think looks a bit tacky, but looks great especially on a white car, this is something I would also get professionally done, not worth the risk of messing it up for the sake of a few hundred dollars. Buy the badges on eBay and take them to a shop to get it done.

Couldn’t agree more. I’m thinking of having mine painted gloss hyperblack color, that matches black cars better.

I just replaced all my badges but they were hand painted by APX Motorsports in SoCal. I left the front star and rear star chrome but made everything else black with red S. I'm on selenite grey color.

They also wrapped my handles black to match the night package and it looks phenomenal. They are the super talented and well worth it not buying the ebay ones.

They also wrapped the front grill chrome lines (2020 c63s) in black so it looks much better now and makes the front star pop a lot more.

I'm waiting on the S to finish since that's getting custom painted differently. I'm keeping the background black and just the "S" letter will be red. I'll post a few when it's done.

I guess I'm the outlier. I had my original badges removed, then purchased new OEM ones (yes, not cheap; I think it ran around $750 total) and had them painted.

I've found that the eBay ones are often very close but not a perfect replica. Plus, the OEM badges have excellent high quality adhesive (as previously mentioned). The last time I had an eBay badge, it eventually fell off.

Mind sharing the cost for wrapping the front grille, doorhandles, and maybe what they quoted for the front star?

I have replacement black badges for everything else and bought the cks door handle covers which are nice but not perfect.

At this point, with 90% of the trim black, the few chrome parts really stick out.
