I am now offering a catless downpipe kit for member who want to mod their car on a budget
Price is $839
- 3" diameter
- Made out of 304 SS
- Bungs for primary and secondary O2 sensors in factory location
- Primary tubes wrapped in heat shield material
- Misc hardware / brackets included
Mine came in, they look pretty good. I started removing the stock ones today and man did Mercedez outdo themselves with how some of those bolts are on the heat shields. Tomorrow morning I'm cutting the old ones out and finally putting on the catless. Took about 2 hours to dissemble everything excluding cutting the pipes and maybe 1.5 hours for reassembly.

Right below the primary cats. You will go through 5 to 6 blades
I actually cut right above the secondary cats. On jackstands it's a *****, on a lift probably a piece of cake. The passenger was super easy but because of the way you're positioned underneath the car and on your back, the cuts can come out weird. The drivers heat shield is that way because I was lifting it up with a screwdriver to see where my cut was. Also because I initially used a 6 inch blade on the sawzall and you really need at least an 8 inch.
Don't do the same mistake as I did and remove your steering shaft. It only takes 15 mins to take it off because you have to remove the bottom trim where your steering wheel is at, one bolt there and it comes off. Under the car where it connects to the rack and pinion it has a lock that you pull towards the cabin and twist and it'll come right off. That way you'll avoid accidentally cutting it like I did lol.
these are some pics I took but I'll get better ones if you wish.
