After thinking about it, I think I am going to wrap it first. If it looks really bad or doesn't last long then I'll just paint it. I'll post pics as soon as I get it done.
Well done, sir. That's the look I was after but couldn't get with a wrap. An expensive solution (I presume) but certainly the one with the best results.

There’s a thread out there that shows step by step how the owner did his. There was also dialogue about before and after shots. Mixed bag if I remember.
