Of all the intakes out there, this one checks all the boxes (with price being a major factor). I do have a question though with your data. Why were the dyno pulls only to 6500 rpm? I really want to see what happens in those last 500 rpm to the 7k redline. I'm currently running a Dinan tune and I find that if I shift at 6500 (before the turbos choke out) I get better acceleration on the top end in higher gears.
With this intake, do you still get gains running it to the 7k RPM redline, or would you recommend shifting at 6500 rpm for the best acceleration on stock turbos (despite the HP increase on the top end)?
We stopped at 6.5krpm due to the dyno we were on (dynapack). The sedan in 5th gear at redline is going pretty fast and we were exceeding the speed capabilities of the dyno. If you look at the dyno though, the OEM to ModalWorks intake deviate more and more with higher RPM, so it definitely has more oomf at higher RPMs. During the road tests we went to redline and felt like it still pulled hard. There might be a sweet spot between 6,500-7,000 for optimal shifting but we haven't done enough testing to give a definitive shift point. The dragy times shown all are shifting at redline to limit driver variability and show hardware to hardware improvements only.

It absolutely helps, and in our opinion is one of the biggest selling points for this design. It removes the OEM choke point and has an organic flow path to optimize mass flow rate into the turbine.

Generally yes, but these intakes really help. Significant horsepower and torque improvement area under the curve correlates to better 60-130 and quarter mile times. The engine doesn't drop off nearly as much as with OEM airboxes.
These will drop right into the GLC63, but the heat shield design as it stands is optimized for the C63. We plan to explore optimizing the heat shield specifically for the GLC in the coming weeks.
I'm definitely interested, especially if you're making it fit the GLC63 correctly. Does the pre-order apply to the GLC folks as well, or will that be a separate effort? You may want to start a thread in the GLC forum to grab the attention of the members that may not jump in the C63 section.
ill have downpipes and renntechs stage 2 in soon... wasnt planning on doing anything more to the car this year tho. wonder what this could help push my dyno numbers to tho...hmm...
We were originally targeting 3/31, but it looks like we are a bit delayed due to Covid-19. Right now we are tracking towards 4/17 and will update everyone if anything changes.

We do not have numbers on OEM vehicles at this time, but our units should still make gains over stock. Aside from power improvements shown on stage 2 vehicles, our intake greatly improves throttle feel (even more snappy) and sounds fantastic.
how much would it cost shipped to me here in canada? i wouodl do my po box over border but obviously...i cant go there anytime soon with borders closed lol my postal code is v2p1m1 in chilliwack BC.
my car has renntech stage 2 with downpipes. gimme a discount and ill give you a before and after dyno graph!

I have pure 900 turbo plus catless dp. Is 50whp increase possible? Was thinking of getting the weistec carbon intake but figure it’s too pricey for the minimal increase in power. This is very tempting

We haven't tested your exact setup, but we don't see why not. Air intake demand will be higher with the 900s, and given our design has a lower pressure drop it should help feed the turbos what they need to make power.

Mhm, running my own company with extensive e-commerce orders I am surprised modalworks e-commerce store has so much trouble just taking orders. Seems a rookie mistake for an online retailer to miss out. So, I don't think trying a lot of times will enable you to order it until Modalworks either updates the qty on hand in their backend tool, or allows pre-orders with extended shipment times. There are other options, but its up to Modalworks to manage and not you trying many times.
