Came here to post the same vid. Matt Watson is tough for me to watch (just want to slap him with the stupid laugh all the time), but that aside, shame on them for such a hack job test

- incompetent drivers in the W205 and E90

- shot tires on the W205

- a clearly modded (and obviously tuned) w204

- M4 with shot brakes

What a waste of a potentially great lineup.

No chance that 204 is stock. I've raced a stock 204 C63 performance pack with my 205 C63s Coupe and blew him away in Comfort mode.

 

It is fairly infuriating that they do not include the mile per hour in the quarter mile tests. Carwow annoys me because they always have some fatal flaws in their testing.

Agreed the w204 seeems tuned, and they kneecapped the w205.

 

Really hope Carwow does a test with all pre-FL and FL versions of the C63S to see if there are differences

In C&D’s Lightning Lap test, the pre-FL 205 sedan was significantly faster on the long straight (148 mph) vs the FL coupe (138 mph) and they actually noted that in their article. Now is that attributable to sedan/coupe or pre-FL/FL is anybody’s guess

The W204 passed the C205 at 155 mph

 

that would be interesting. I’m not an expert on the gearing differences, but I believe the coupe is geared for faster low speed acceleration so it might suffer in the high end?

on the other hand, the FL have that particulate filter in there. Obviously MB rates the hp the same as pre FL, but you can’t tell me that the filter in there isn’t zapping a couple of ponies.

still doesn’t explain W204 bring faster than the M4. M4 should be faster but not in this case. Again 100 lbs difference won’t make that big of a difference between Coupe and Sedan. Something else caused that difference in MPH. Different drivers, entry speed, exit speed, slip etc. don’t read too much into that.
