Yeah, UV and other environmental damage from parking the car outside 24-7. Will eventually happen to the paint as well if the car is left out in the elements all the time. This machine deserves to be garaged.

 

I did this on mine as it was damn near grey and flaking off lol

 

i have the same issue im planning on wrapping it gloss black, knowing for a fact that the replacement piece will eventually suffer the same faith

 

doing a carbon wrap on mine Thursday........better than having to pay to replace the entire piece.....sick of looking at it

 

Original part (A2057800022) can be purchased from AliExpress for about £100.

There is a useful video on YouTube that shows the replacement process for a glass panel, granted this panel is plastic however the process should be similar.

The adhesive (A009989857109) is made by Sikaflex (254) which you can purchase directly which is much cheaper.
