2019 C63s Blacked out Distronic Star
Hey everyone. Has anyone attempted to blackout the front distronic star? Looking to see what people have done and how. How does the star come off and how did you black it out? Paint? Thanks in advance for anyone who can share thoughts and/or experiences!

The whole assembly pops out of the center molding. Then we took some time carefully separating all the pieces, including the thin outer ring. Everything was painted. The emblem was smoked with tinted ceramic clear coat, and the parts were dont in straight gloss black to match the rest of the trim on the car.

no it doesnt. I firslty wrapped mine, looked good and never affected the distronic and its ability to work. I then removed the wrap and got it tinted/painted in the same way as theabove poster. Looks cleaner and better painted than the wrap and again, never affected the distronic and its ability to work

So you wrapped the outer plastic or glass and then painted the chrome circle around the enblem?
